Tred looked at his son’s haggard face and let out a long sigh
“You used to blame me for tearing you and 1tedy apart. For forcing you to marry a woman you didn’t love,”
“Now everything’s back on track–Anthea has divorced you and left the country. Your mother and I aren’t standing in your way anymore. You and Hedy can finally be together.”
“So what are you even upset about now? Don’t tell me… you’ve fallen for Anthea?”
In his dazed state, Lance only registered Ired’s final question.[]
Him, in love with Anthea?]
That can’t be true. Right?
He and Anthea had grown up together, sure. Childhood friends, nothing more. His heart had always been with Hedy.[]

Somehow, without thinking, he’d set it as his phone wallpaper.[]
