As Byron poured out his regretful, heartfelt confession in front of her, Adele felt nothing but disgust.]

Byron thought it was his bodyguard’s lapse in attention, but it was actually Ethan’s doing. Adele needed to see him one last time to get ready to put down the past things.
“Scarlett’s been linked with a thug, planning to sabotage Miss Adele’s car.” Ethan mused. “Fucking trouble. Get in touch with their boss now.”

“Ethan, I’m here to pick you up.“Hearing Adele’s voice, Ethan motioned for his assistant to leave, getting up to greet her. He pulled her into his arms, feeling the weight of a long workday lift off his shoulders.]
“Baby,I just want to tie you to me, to see you every minute of the day. We’ve been so busy with that new studio, we haven’t had a real date in forever.”
Adele blushed at his words.“I came to pick you up from work, remember?”
“Alright, I forgive you. And tomorrow’s the weekend–let’s go meet my family. They’ve been dying to meet you.“]]

Listening to his comforting words, Adele’s anxiety started to fade.]}]
“Alright, after dinner, let’s pick up some gifts for your family.“[]

The next day, Adele, packed and ready, followed Ethan to his family’s estate. As the car drew closer to the mansion, she couldn’t help but feel a little nervous.]
“I’ve been divorced. Maybe they don’t like me.”
“Don’t worry, I’ve already filled them in. They understand everything you’ve been through, and they really sympathize.”
Hearing his reassuring words, Adele felt her nerves start to settle.
