(Oh my God, there really is a killer!

The screen shattered, and the stream went black.M
All that was left was me, frozen, staring at the person in front of me.
With a trembling voice, I asked, “Mom… is that you?”
ut they didn’t answer.
Instead, they slowly raised the knife in their hand.
Under the ceiling light, the blade gleamed–sharp, cold, and blinding
Just as they lifted it, the locked door behind me burst open with a deafening kick.
A squad of police officers rushed in, storming the room in a blur of uniforms and urgency.%
Relief flooded me. My knees nearly gave out as I pointed at the masked figure, shouting, “That’s the killer! Grab them now! They’re the one who murdered all the top scorers!”
For a moment, it felt like everything was finally over
But then, the police walked right past the masked figure and straight toward me. Then they slapped a pair of cold metal handcuffs around my wrists.
“You’re under arrest for the suspected murder of multiple national top scorers.”
The chill of the cuffs sent a jolt through me. I stared in disbelief. “What? I’m a suspect? You’ve got to be kidding me!”
I turned to point at the masked figure again and insisted, “The killer is right there! They just tried to murder me! Didn’t any of you see that?!”
The lead officer, Captain Hector Shelton, calmly walked over to the masked figure and removed the clown mask.
Underneath it was my mother.”
She looked straight at him, her face calm, and her voice was steady as she said, “My daughter is telling the truth. I’m the one who killed them. You’ve arrested the wrong person.“W
She confessed just like that. No hesitation. No fear. Her tone was almost casual, like she was talking about the weather.
But Captain Shelton didn’t flinch. He didn’t shout or argue. Instead, he looked at her with a cold, knowing stare and said, “Drop the act We’ve already uncovered everything. Your daughter is the real killer. You showing up in the stream and pretending to attack her was all just a setup. You’re trying to take the fall for her.“W
His words hit me like a truck.
