Nolan cursed, and Declan tossed him a wad of cash, making Nolan leave immediately. He walked over to me, giving a derisive laugh, “Feeling sorry for him? Still not leaving?” The car was eerily quiet, Declan glanced at the rearview mirror several times. “Adeline, was that your pretty boy back then?”
