Chapter 19
Anora shook her head, full of struggle: “We can’t be together.”
Leonard didn’t hesitate to hug Anora.
Feeling the familiar embrace, Anora hesitated and after struggling for a moment, she chose to hug Leonard back.
In the hospital, Leonard used to take Anora to watch movies together, holding her hand tightly in the darkness. When watching horror movies, he would tightly cover her eyes, afraid that she would be scared, just like they used to do back in school.
Almost meticulously, Leonard personally took care of every detail, big or
small.
He used to go up and down six floors every day to fetch the most refreshing hot water for Anora.
She used to carefully tend to the fresh flowers he brought every day.
In the evening, he would push Anora around the small square of the hospital, occasionally helping her to watch the elderly play chess in the
sunset.
Under the sunlight, they looked like an ordinary couple.
However, Anora found that Leonard would often be absent–minded, either staring at pregnant women or getting lost in thought while looking at something.
At first, Anora thought it was just him not feeling well, but today she

discovered that Leonard was actually standing still in a daze. Following his gaze. Anora saw a couple eating cotton candy.
They were holding cotton candy, one smiling and the other turning around in disgust.
Leonard remembered the first time he and Isabelle went to the mall after getting married. He bought her two pieces of clothing, but Isabelle
seemed unenthusiastic the whole time.
Afterwards, he finally agreed to Isabelle’s request and bought her a sweet cotton candy.
When Isabelle took the cotton candy, her face was full of joy, and she wanted him to taste this extremely sweet and sickening cotton candy.
At that time, he also strongly resisted, saying that he would not buy cotton candy for Isabelle again.
Isabelle finally stopped, but her eyes were always squinting with a smile. while eating cotton candy.
Anora thought he just wanted to eat cotton candy, so she smiled and said, “Why are you acting like a child? Just go buy one if you want to eat.”
Leonard shook his head and said, “Isabelle loved this.”
But soon he defended himself, saying, “I just suddenly remembered.”
Anora saw it all but didn’t say anything.
In the evening, Anora was getting ready to go to bed when she heard Leonard murmuring beside her, “Bella, why did you leave.”
Anora fell silent for a moment at the subconscious words, looking at Leonard sleeping soundly in the moonlight, she sighed.

With the moonlight shining down and the cool air surrounding her, Anora made up her mind. She decided to go back to where she belonged, back to Paris.
The next day. Anora asked Leonard to pick up the relatives who were. coming, then quickly took care of the formalities and prepared to leave.
She left a letter.
Leonard brought the person back to the ward, but when he arrived at the door, he saw an empty hospital bed.
And a letter on the sickbed.
Leonard realized something and quickly opened the letter: “Leonard,
could it be that you have already fallen in love with Isabelle, but you are could it be that you have already fallen i
not aware of it?”
“Did you realize? You always think of her, those days no one could replace.”
“Leonard, don’t dwell on it, go to Australia and win back Isabelle.”
“And I, too, will embark on my own new life.”
