Chapter 20 Provocation
Buena felt that the atmosphere became oppressive. She looked
up at Sebastian and found that he was mad. It surprised her.
Sebastian was always cool. In her heart, Sebastian was cold,
graceful, and proud. She had never sensed his emotions like this.
Then Buena clearly realized that Sebastian was abnormal not
because of her but Shirlene.
She wondered what their relationship was.
“Mr. Pearson.” Lester walked forward to block Shirlene and said
in a deep voice, “It was Ms. Hayworth who offended Shirl. I just
asked her to apologize. Isn’t it reasonable?”
Sebastian thought, “Shirl?”
Sebastian glanced at Shirlene casually with a faint sneer that
was hard to notice. “So what if she doesn’t apologize?”
Lester’s smile faded away. “Do you want to cover her?”
Sebastian didn’t deny it and looked at Shirlene coldly.
Seeing that Sebastian defended her, Buena had a brighter smile.

She pretended to be generous. “Sebastian, never mind. It’s not a
good idea to fight here. I’ll apologize to her.”
Buena took the initiative to approach Shirlene, yet hoping that
Sebastian would stop her and defend her again.
But Sebastian just watched coolly without the intention to stop
her.
Buena had a disappointed look in her eyes, but soon, she calmed
down and smiled at Shirlene, “Ms. Osborne, I’m sorry for the
misunderstanding. Please forgive me.”
“No. I can’t.” Shirlene was straightforward.
Buena’s face stiffened. A touch of annoyance flashed in her
eyes. But she couldn’t lose her temper in front of Sebastian.
“Shirlene…”
“Sebastian.” Shirlene suddenly walked over from behind and
stopped before Sebastian. She reached out to grab his tie to
make him lower his head.
“What are you doing? Let go of him!” Buena exclaimed.
Shirlene ignored her, staring at Sebastian’s dark eyes. Anger touched her beautiful face as she pointed at Buena. “She said she

was your girlfriend. Don’t you think you owe me an
explanation?”
Her delicate face was so close to him. He could even see the
pores on her fair skin. Her eyes were shining charmingly like
brown gems. Since they were so close to each other, he could
even feel her warm breathing and smell her special fragrance.
It distracted him and aroused his feelings. His Adam’s apple
went up and down as he tried to suppress the desire deep in his
heart. Staring at her face, however, he had a stronger and
stronger desire.
Finally, before he lost control, he took a deep breath and pushed
Shirlene away.
Shirlene had surprise, confusion, and disappointment in her
eyes. She looked at him in a daze. For a moment, she felt that he
was a stranger.
Sebastian turned his body with half of his face in the shadow. It
was hard to see his face. He reached out to tidy up his messy tie
and said in a cold and deep voice, “No need to explain.”
At that moment, she didn’t know how to stay cool. His words
brought her a breakdown.
Sebastian didn’t deny it. Nor did he explain. He didn’t say that

Buena’s words were false.
Shirlene thought, “That’s man?”
Sebastian saw her pale face from the corner of his eye and
pressed his lips, saying coldly, “Let’s go.”
Buena kept thinking about Sebastian’s words. Hearing his voice,
she gave a sweet reply and followed him.
Lester stared at them as they left, pondering. Then he looked
back at Shirlene’s sad face. He asked with concern, “What’s
wrong? Why are you so sad? Do you want me to send you
home?”
Shirlene’s eyes turned red. She tried hard to hold back her tears.
Sniffing, she shook her head. “I’m fine. Let’s get in.”
Lester looked at her with concern and said gently, “Are you
really OK? Don’t make yourself.”
Shirlene shook her head with a bitter smile.
Lester’s eyes shone. He reached out his arm. “Let’s get in.”
Shirlene hesitated and took his arm to enter the hall.
She looked around but didn’t see Buena and Sebastian. It made
her upset.
Chapter 20 Provocation
“It was said that Errol Bowen from Buoyton would come. I’ll
introduce you to him.” Lester’s voice sounded.
Shirlene nodded and followed him to the basement. Then she
found the villa had a special design. It was well–equipped like a
small club.
As soon as the door was opened, the smell of cigarettes came
over. Shirlene frowned and covered her nose. In the dim light,
she could see a dozen of people in the room. There were men
and women sitting together.
She saw Sebastian in the most eye–catching seat.
Sebastian was leaning against the leather sofa lazily while
shaking a wine glass slowly. Buena was sitting by his side,
talking to a foreigner by her side. Although the light was dim,
Shirlene saw the disdain on Buena’s face.
Shirlene looked around. That man was the only foreigner in the
room. He was in his thirties and had yellow curly hair. His eyes
were blue, and he was tall and handsome. But he was flippant.
He must be Errol Bowen whom Lester had just mentioned.
Sebastian sat with him, which meant that he came for Errol.
Since people sang and chatted in the room, it was noisy. Lester

bent to whisper in Shirlene’s ear, “Let’s get a seat first. It was
unknown if he did so on purpose.
“OK.” Shirlene withdrew her gaze and sat with him.
At that moment, Sebastian raised his head and narrowed his
cold eyes as he looked at Lester and Shirlene.
Lester seemed to have sensed his gaze and looked back suddenly
with a smile to look into Sebastian’s eyes.
He was provoking Sebastian.
Sebastian grabbed the wine glass harder and drank up. His dark
eyes were brewing anger.
“Ms. Hayworth, I watched your shows and like you a lot,” Errol
said as he touched Buena’s hand with implications.
Buena bit the bullet with a gloomy face. She tried to withdraw
her hand, but Errol wouldn’t let her go. He was even bolder.
He got closer to Buena and blew on her ear with a smile. “Ms.
Hayworth, did anyone tell you that you’re amazing and
charming? In fact, ever since you came in, I’ve never seen
anyone more charming than you.”
