Chapter 21 I Like Her
Errol cast a glance at Sebastian and, with a suggestive tone,
as
murmured, “I have a seaside villa. Feel free to drop by anytime.””
Catching the implication, Buena understood. She took a deep
breath, withdrew her hand, and, with a smile, announced,
“Excuse me, I need to use the restroom.”
Sebastian observed her and was puzzled by the situation. He
nodded, and Buena, feeling a sense of relief, stood up to leave.
However, Errol’s expression darkened. He grabbed Buena’s
wrist, shot a sneer at Sebastian, and said, “Mr. Pearson, if you
can’t do this for me, how can we possibly collaborate?”
Errol pulled Buena down forcefully, retrieved a cigarette, lit it,
and placed it between his lips. Leaning against the sofa, he gazed
at Sebastian with a half–smile, adding, “It’s just a woman. Are
you willing to jeopardize our relationship for her?”
Buena, looking at Sebastian with pleading eyes, conveyed her
reluctance.
Errol, known for his playboy reputation, usually got what he
desired. Buena found herself relying on Sebastian in this

situation. After all, she couldn’t afford to offend Errol, but
Sebastian could.
“Not her.” Sebastian had a cool face, expressionless. “If you want
a woman, I can get you someone else. I don’t want her to spoil
your mood.”
Buena was relieved and joyful. She believed that Sebastian.
cared about her. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have offended Errol
for her.
Errol’s smile froze with dissatisfaction in his gloomy eyes. He
sneered, “Mr. Pearson, if you insist, it will be hard. I won’t do
anything to her if she’s your woman. But is she your woman?”
Sebastian frowned with a touch of disgust without saying
anything.
Buena panicked and pulled Sebastian’s sleeve with pleading
eyes.
Errol lost his patience. Just as he wanted to stand up, Sebastian
said, “She is.”
Sebastian leaned backward and put his arm around her
shoulder to pull her closer to him. It made Buena happy. She
leaned over on purpose to stay in his arms.
Chapter 21 I Like Her
Errol’s face twisted as he broke the cigarette in his hand. Then
he threw it down and stepped on it. Seeing how close they were,
Errol sneered, “Mr. Pearson, this is not good. But I won’t take
your woman. Now that you have her, you should give me
another.”
Sebastian said coolly, “Who do you like? I’ll help you.”
Hearing this, Errol softened up. He narrowed his eyes as he
looked around. Suddenly, his eyes lit up.
“I want her.” Errol pointed at Shirlene, who was about to stand
- up.
Shirlene froze and looked at Sebastian in disbelief. Her eyes
were red and watery.
She saw everything when Sebastian and Errol had a small fight.
She also heard that he admitted Buena was his woman. She
didn’t expect Sebastian to be such a terrible man.
Sebastian paused and looked at Shirlene’s sad face. He narrowed
his eyes with a dangerous look in his eyes.
At first, Buena didn’t see Shirlene. When Errol chose Shirlene,
her eyes shone at once.
“Mr. Pearson, OK?” Errol didn’t notice the strange atmosphere.
Chapter 21 1Like Her
He stared at Shirlene’s pretty face with obsession and teased,
“Don’t tell me she’s your woman too.”
Sebastian had stared at Shirlene with unknown emotions. But
Buena could sense a trace of danger.
Her eyes shone slightly. She said, “Mr. Bowen, don’t be joking. Of
course, she is not Sebastian’s woman. But she also works for our
company…”
Buena spoke as she turned to Errol significantly.
Errol’s smile became bigger as he waved at Shirlene. He said.
loudly, “Can you sing? Sing a song for us.”
Shirlene’s heart was flooded with humiliation, disappointment,
and sadness. The icy expression on Sebastian’s face added to the
coldness she felt, making her wonder if what she had witnessed
was some cruel illusion from her past life.
Sensing Sebastian’s growing coldness, Buena panicked. After a
moment of contemplation, she summoned her courage and
greeted Shirlene with a smile, “Shirlene, what are you waiting
for? Come over and join us.”
Buena intentionally positioned herself closer to Sebastian,
creating space between her and Errol.

Sebastian began to speak, but Shirlene, unable to endure the
situation any longer, interjected. Fearing that Sebastian might say something hurtful, she spoke up, “You…”
So before he could finish, she walked over on her high heels and
strode to him. She bent to pick up the wine glass and poured the
wine on his face.
The red wine scattered. Sebastian’s face and clothes were wet
with the red wine. Since Buena sat close to him, she had red
wine on her too.
“Shirlene, what are you doing?” Buena exclaimed. She got up
from Sebastian’s arms at once. She bent to take a tissue from the
table and wiped the wine off his face considerately.
Just as she reached out, her hand was grabbed by Sebastian. She
couldn’t break free. And Buena saw unprecedented cold in his
eyes.
Shirlene looked at him with red eyes, trying hard to hold back
her tears with grievances.
“Sebastian, you’re as bad as them. I hate you!” Shirlene smiled
mockingly and looked at him unhappily. Then she pushed the door open and left without looking back.
“What a fascinating girl! I find her intriguing!” Errol gazed at

Shirlene’s retreating figure, growing more intrigued. He picked
up a wine glass from the table, raised it towards Sebastian, and
chuckled, “I like that girl. Thanks, Mr. Pearson. But I’m afraid.
we’ll have to discuss business another day. I have something
more pressing to attend to. Excuse me.”
Before Sebastian could respond, Errol swiftly finished his wine,
stood up, and hurriedly left the scene.
A sly smile played on Buena’s lips. She eagerly anticipated the
unfolding events. In her mind, if Errol managed to get involved
with Shirlene, it would diminish Shirlene’s standing, making her
less of a rival.
“Sebastian, you have wine on your face. I…”
Sebastian suddenly reacted and pushed her away with a cold
face. Then he stood up.
Buena was startled and grabbed his hand, saying anxiously,
“Are you worried about Shirlene? Errol isn’t a bad guy. She will
be fine.”
