I snapped out of my trance, and the gruesome sight before me caused me to scream. My behaviour attracted professionals and passersby.
Vincent pinned Ava to the ground, releasing her grip on the gun. But that wasn’t what I was focused on at the moment!
The doctors quickly rushed Hardin to the ER. They informed me that they were going to remove the bullet and get him to safety. They entered the ER and began the quest to save Hardin’s life.
I stood outside the room, crying my eyes out. I felt an immense wave of guilt as I remembered how Hardin got in this state, causing me to shed more tears.
When my sobs died down, I fished for my phone in my pocket and immediately dialled my mum’s phone. I cried once more, explaining what happened to Hardin. Mum tried calming me down, which was futile, and I shed more tears.
The moment the doors of the ER swung open, I bid my mum goodbye and rushed over to the doctor.
“How is he? Is he safe? Can I see him?” I asked with bated breath as I jumbled my words.
“I’m sorry, but –” the doctor hesitated, causing my heart to fall into the pits of my stomach.}}
“But what?!” I screamed at the doctor as more tears found their way down my cheeks.
“Please be calm. He’s not dead, but his situation is critical. We’ve successfully removed the bullet, but his life is still in danger.” The doctor explained.
felt a bit relieved, but it was quickly overshadowed by the fact that his life was in danger. I looked at the doctor I knew he was a werewolf.
“Let rne in, doctor. I can help,” I said, eager to save Hardin’s life.}
“I’m sorry, but you’re not allowed to go in there,” he said as he turned on his heel to return to the room.
I grabbed his arm, stopping him in his tracks.
He looked back at me before I said.”
“I truly can help, I’m an Omega,” I said to him.
His eyes widened when he heard those words from my mouth and immediately turned to face me.”
“Are you sure you can save him?” He asked earnestly.
I shook my head in response, and his face fell in disappointment.}
“I’m not too sure if I can save him,” I said downcast, but still eager to save Hardin.}
“What’s the level of your abilities?” He asked.
“I don’t know, I’ve not used it much, but I still want to try. There’s no harm in trying, right?” I asked, still eager to help.
He sighed in defeat and let me into the ER. The sight I met broke my heart. Hardin lay down there lifeless, with his blood everywhere and a life support attached to him.
The other professionals seemed shocked with my presence, but the doctor who let me in explained the situation to them. They hesitantly agreed and made way for me to get close to Hardin.
The closer was, the heavier my heart became.§
I placed my hand on his forehead and focused all my energy on him as I shut my eyes. At that moment I remember hardin’s words “you just have to channel the right emotion” so I did.”
I could feel my energy draining, meaning it was working.
I was overwhelmed with hope as I poured more of my energy into him. The bleeding stopped, and his wound closed. I felt lightheaded but didn’t let it alter my focus.
I let go after a while. I was exhausted and drained. This was the first time I used my powers this much.
The doctors commended me for my help and moved him to a room where I waited for him to wake up.}
A few hours later, Hardin’s finger moved, causing me to spring up and notify the doctor.
I rushed back to him and saw he was fully awake, causing me to shed tears of relief.}]
I held his hand gently as I cried.}
“Oh my god, thank god you’re awake. I was so scared that you wouldn’t wake up. I’m so sorry for bringing you here. This is all my fault.” “Hey, hey, I’m here, right? I’m fine and so are you, now that’s all that matters.” He said using his free hand to wipe the tears of my cheeks as leaned into it.
“Why? Why did you do that?” I asked my voice so low I could barely even hear my own self as I hung my head low.!!
‘Because I love you, I couldn’t let you get hurt, I’ll always make sure you’re safe. ” he said, lifting my head up and looking into my eyes, which only made me shed more tears.
“I love you too,” I said between my sobs.
