Chapter 2
When I got back to the dorm, the other girls were already there–except Jessica.]
“Mia… did you really look up that stuff online?”
It was Megan, our quiet, rule–following floor captain.]
She never said much, so the question hit harder.[]
My stomach dropped.]
I hadn’t told Jessica I was meeting with Harris.]
How did anyone else know?
Before I could respond, Jessica barged in like clockwork.]
“You’re seriously into that kinda trash? Gross.“]
She stared me down like she was disgusted–but I caught the flicker of guilt in her eyes.]
Taylor jumped in, rolling her eyes.
“Wow, Jess. Even if it were true, who made you moral police?“]]
“Posting it on your story? What a move.“]
Taylor had history with Jessica too–Jessica stole her boyfriend last year.
She was the only one who defended me when everything fell apart.]
I whipped out my phone and scrolled through Instagram.
Yup. Same BS post as last time.]
Over thirty comments.
Almost all from inutuals.
Even if I didn’t tell her… she knew.
Which meant someone else told her.
Only one person besides me knew: Professor Harris.
My blood ran cold.
Back then, the school didn’t even give me a chance to defend myself.
They didn’t investigate
They just expelled me.
Now it’s clear.
Harris and Jessica had something going on
And I’m done playing nice.

Chapter 2
She backed up fast, panic all over her face.
“Wh–what? I didn’t do anything! What, you gonna hit me now? Go ahead! I dare-“]

She shrieked, shielding her face.]
“Hmm… that didn’t hurt?“]
I reached past her, grabbed the phone she hid on top of her wardrobe, and deleted the video she was recor
Jessica didn’t even notice.]
She smirked.
“Knew it. You don’t have the guts.“[]
I smiled back.
“never hit people.”
SLAP, SLAP.
Two red marks bloomed across her face before she even processed what happened.[]
I shook out my stinging hand, grinning brighter.[]
“Unless they’re trash.”
