Before Dorothy could come back to her senses, Dwayne texted her, which was so rare, “I can get you the lawyers, but it all depends on how you behave.”
Dorothy was stunned

How does he expect me to behave?
Does he want me to back off so that Sonia and Brenden can have legal status as soon as possible?”
She stared at the message in silence for a long time before replying to him, “OK.“]]
After receiving her reply, Dwayne asked Margaret to look into the reason for Rogelio’s detention.[]
Margaret nodded and left his office. Several seconds later, Carolyn stormed inside with her Louis Vuitton bag. “Dwayne, do you have a son with another woman?”
He loosened his tie and said nonchalantly, “What are you talking about?“]

Dwayne’s eyes darkened.

Carolyn’s face was livid. “You cheated on Dorothy!“]]
Though she had never liked Dorothy, it was the undeniable truth that Dorothy was her daughter–in–law.
This scandal was definitely a blow to the Lambert family’s reputation.[]
Dwayne uncapped his pen and started to sign documents while saying in a devil–may–care manner, “That’s not my son.“]

Carolyn remained skeptical
He looked up at her. “Yes.”
Carolyn didn’t question again.
After all, he was her son, and she knew him.
He was forced to marry Dorothy. If he really had a child with another woman, he would have acknowledged it long ago. She had been wanting a grandkid all these years.[]
Thinking of something, she advised earnestly, “You don’t love Dorothy anyway. Why don’t you get a divorce? I’ll set you up with a socialite. I’m sure at least one of them is to your liking.”
