Chapter 10%
Third Person’s POV
Suddenly, a question crossed Tristan’s mind. Wait a second, if Bianca really is as promiscuous and shallow as she seemed, then there’s no way she would’ve killed herself over a man. So why did she leave that dramatic suicide note blaming Eloise?}
Quickly, he speculated, ‘Unless, she planned it that way on purpose.‘}
The more Tristan thought about it, the more unsettled he became. His heart pounded, and a rush of blood surged straight to his head.§
As such, he shoved Bianca awake. “I need to ask you something.“>
She sat up with an annoyed expression. “What now?“”
“If I had married your sister instead of you, what would you have done?” he asked.
“What do you think?” she scoffed. “If that had happened, you wouldn’t have beaten me to a pulp, and I wouldn’t be stuck kneeling here in this godforsaken place with you.“>
She then shot a disgusted glance at his chest. Even though he tried to hide it, the large, wobbling mounds on his chest were hard to ignore.
“You wouldn’t have turned out like this, and we wouldn’t be suffering like this.”>
Her casual tone only confirmed Tristan’s growing suspicions.
“So, if I never married you, and chose Eloise instead, you wouldn’t have been heartbroken? You wouldn’t have tried to kill yourself?“}
Bianca yawned, clearly unbothered. “Of course not. Mom and Dad love me so much. I’d never leave them like that, not over a guy.“}
That was the last straw.
“You conniving little liar!” Tristan roared.
He lunged at her and wrapped his hands around her neck, as if all the pain and regret he carried could be erased through this one violent act.0
Bianca coughed as she was suffocated. “What… are you doing? Let me go.”>
Bianca’s face turned red, her eyes filled with tears as she struggled to breathe.
Right before she passed out, he finally let go.
“Letting you die now would be way too easy,” he spat.

With that, he went back to his knees and resumed his penance.
The next morning, the Clark couple rushed back to the tower and found Tristan passed out on the floor, too weak to move. Bianca lay nearby, burning with fever.

They rushed both of them to the hospital.
Eloise’s POVE
One day, I suddenly received a call from Mrs. Clark, and her voice filled with guilt. She said she never imagined one night could leave things in such a mess and asked if I could come check on them at the hospital.”
I brought Drake with me, and when I saw Tristan’s condition, I shook my head.
“His repentance wasn’t genuine. That’s why he passed out,” I explained. “If that’s the case, even if he marries a blessed girl now, the curse likely won’t be lifted. The only option left might be surgery to remove the excess tissue.“§
But that also meant he would never be able to father children again.§
Mrs. Clark nearly fainted. “Are you saying, our family might end with him?!”
Just then, Bianca strutted into the room, steadying herself on the wall, her face glowing with smugness.
“No, it won’t,” she said sweetly. “Dad, Mom, the doctor says I’m pregnant.”
The Clark couple looked stunned. “But you’ve only been married for a few days. How could that be possible?“}
Bianca beamed and proudly admitted she and Tristan had been sleeping together for over six months already.
For a moment, the couple didn’t know what to feel.}
When Tristan woke up and heard that surgery was his only way forward, he nearly passed out again from the stress.
But when he learned Bianca was carrying his child, he looked a little relieved, maybe even happy.
Even my parents came rushing to the hospital after hearing the news. They grabbed Bianca’s hand and gushed with pride.
“Sweet daughter, you really came through for us!“}
Bianca forgave them instantly, hugging them as if nothing had ever happened. They clung to each other, all smiles, just like one big happy family.
Watching them play out this little reunion, I couldn’t help but laugh.
“So you’re all just assuming,” I said, voice light but sharp, “that the baby is actually Tristan’s?“@
