Chapter 6
Glancing at her now–pregnant belly, Logan reached out and patted her head, saying, “I’ve arranged for Isaac to prepare a new place for you. You’ll move
there today.”
The moment those words left his lips, Sophie’s tears flowed uncontrollably.
I you, she should treat our child as “As long as I’m with you, I’d be willing to live in a garbage dump. But our child is innocent, Logan. If Amnella truly loved y her own, not deliberately ruin your father’s birthday party and embarrass you and the whole pack in front of other packs! A person like her…” Before Sophie could finish venting her anger, Logan, with an expression as cold as ice, couldn’t help but interrupt her.
“What right do you have to judge my wife? Don’t forget, she is the pack Luna Sophie, I thought you were sensible. But now, it seems you haven’t figured out your own place.”
Logan took the boarding pass handed to him by a staff member and, looking down at Sophie with indifference, said:
“No matter how many children I have outside, Amelia will always be my only Luna And by the way, when you leave the packhouse, make sure you take all your belongings. I don’t want Amelia coming back to see anything of yours and start throwing another tantrum.”
Sophie stood there, tears streaming down her face, stunned for a moment. After a while, she screamed and laughed at his retreating figure:
“Logan, I didn’t expect you to be even more naive than me. You’ve hurt Amelia so deeply. How could she possibly come back?”
They say that women understand women best, but Logan, striding away without a second thought, didn’t take Sophie’s words to heart.
He understood his wife.
For the past nine years, no matter how angry Amelia got, as long as he sincerely apologized and bought her a gift she liked, she would forgive him right
awdy.
But this time was different. Amelia was so angry that she had even brought out the Bond–breaking agreement.
Just buying her some regular gifts wouldn’t be enough.
After thinking for a long time, Logan, as soon as he landed, tracked down a local witch using some contacts.
He stripped off his clothes and said to the witch:
“Restore the ruined mari:. I don’t care what the cost is.”
Seven hours later, Logan emerged from the witch’s area wearing a blood–stained white shirt.
He had bought gifts worth millions and nine hundred ninety–nine pure white roses
Having not slept for nearly forty–eight hours, Logan drove tirelessly toward a vineyard located on the outskirts of Frosthaven.
On the highway, he nervously and excitedly ran through the perfect apology process in his mind over and over.
But no matter how many times he imagined it, the first thing he would say to me would always be the heartfelt words, “Amelia, I miss you so much.”
Finally, Logan found me in a foreign land.
But as soon as he saw me, the flowers in his hands dropped-
The setting sun bathed the land in golden light. I was in the arms of a tall, handsome man, smiling contentedly in a way Logan had never seen before. We playfully fed each other sweet, tangy, fresh grapes.
“Who is he?” The question pore from his throat.
Joshua silently tightened his embrace.
“You must be Logan, right? I’ve seen the wedding photos of you and Amelia. I didn’t expect you to look worse in person than in the photos.”
Seeing the no longer nervous, Joshua made me laugh as I covered my mouth.
Logan’s chest felt like it had been struck hard twice, and he involuntarily clenched his fists until his nails dug into his palms. His woll, too, was growling
discontent.
Since you came all this way, let me introduce myself. I’m Joshua Brooks, Amelia’s…”
He interrupted. “Joshua Brooks? I see.”
