Chapter 9
That Late night, Joshua and I had just returned from a party when, in the distance, we saw Logan standing under a streetlight, holding his usual bouquet of white roses
Ax 1 stepped out of the car, the sky behind us suddenly erupted in a shower of thousands of rainbow fireworks,
Joshua, who had tortured himself countless times by rewatching the footage of Logan’s proposal to me, watched in silence. Back then, when I was young and naive, the fireworks had dazzled me, and I joyfully accepted Logan’s proposal, agreeing to be his Luna,
Now, seeing me distracted by the fireworks, Joshua, who had never felt secure, finally couldn’t contain his anger and charged at Logan. The two of them began fighting fiercely.
“You pathetic homewrecker!” Joshua roared, tackling Logan to the ground. “You think flashing cheap fireworks will stral her back? She’s mine now!”
Logan fought back, his voice desperate. “We were together for nine years! If Amelia hadn’t lost her ability to conceive after the accident, I’d never have let Sophie keep that child! She’s only with you because she’s hurt-”
Upon hearing this, Joshua coldly sneered and punched Logan to the ground.
When I lost the baby in the car accident, Joshua dropped everything from his pack to come to my side, caring for me until I recovered and was discharged from the hospital.
At that time, Logan, claiming to be busy with work, had actually bought two plane tickets to Twilight Peak and was having fun with Sophie, visiting every tourist spot in the city.
Despite my efforts to stop them, the two of them fought, unwilling to part, until two foreign werewolf police officers just happened to drive by.
One of the officers locked eyes with Logan and immediately got out of the car, stopping the fight. Without a word, they took all three of us to the nearest hospital.
At the hospital, while I was tending to Joshua, I was pushed into Logan’s hospital room.
It was then that I finally realized everything that happened tonight had been set up by Logan.
And he went to such lengths–just to have time alone with me.
I smiled in amusement and asked him, “Is this really necessary?
Logan, who had two broken ribs, smiled awkwardly, his eyes red, and in a hoarse volce, he spoke slowly, “Amelia, I miss you. I miss you so much, it’s driving me crazy.
As the pack doctor entered to tend to Logan’s injuries, I noticed the mark on his neck.
The sun, the moon, the stars.
It was the same pattern that had appeared when we had first marked each other.
I remembered Logan’s simple comment about the mark back then.
“The moon? Someone like you doesn’t deserve It.”
In the hospital room, with Joshua temporarily out of the room, Logan walked up to me, grabbing my wrist tightly, refusing to let go. “Amelia, I want to apologize to you. I’m sorry, my darling, everything was my fault. I will do my best to make it up to you, I only ask for your forgiveness.”
Before I could speak, his phone rang, It was Sophle calling
Logan answered the call without hesitation, putting it on speaker.
“Logan! Help me, Logan! Isaac suddenly barged into the apartment with a few men. They they’ve brought me to the hospital the baby… they want to take our baby!”
