Dorothy grabbed Sonia’s hand, which was clutching the bracelet. “Did you take it out to show it off to me? Did I see you put it in the pocket and take it?“]

Dwayne gripped Dorothy’s wrist. “How long do you want to make a scene in front of so many people?”

Dorothy stared at Dwayne in disbelief, and her heart seemed to die instantly. “Defending my innocence is making a scene?”
“Innocence?” Dwayne chuckled abruptly. “The bracelet was found in your bag. You call that innocence?”

Sonia grabbed Dwayne’s hand. “Dwayne, forget it. Dr. Acosta didn’t mean it. The bracelet has been found. I’m not angry with her.”
Her kindness earned praise from the crowd.
