I said in surprise.
“No way?”
Before I could continue, Xavier jumped out of
bed, put on his clothes and rushed out to find a
doctor.
In less than a quarter of an hour, the doctor
appeared in the room.
The doctor touched my pulse, his brow
furrowed, shaking his head and nodding at the
same time.
The room was eerily quiet, and Xavier looked at

Then the doctor got up and congratulated us.

I was calm when I heard the first part, but I was dumbfounded when I heard the last part.
“Not giving birth? Laying eggs?”
Xavier smiled and touched my head, explaining.
“The snake tribe is different from other races.
They lay eggs and hatch them.”
Ever since he found out I was pregnant, Xavier
chased me every day to feed me tonics, and
wouldn’t let me do any work.
He even went out and bought three fairy honey
fruits for me to eat. Fairy honey fruits were
