Chapter 8
Alexander let out a dismissive scoff.
“You mean my father? He’s nothing more than a live–in son–in–law to the Montgomerys. He can’t even protect himself–what makes you think he could protect you?”
Sophia etrified—a state of shattered delusions.
That was

Alexander didn’t spare her another glance, as if she were nothing but a stain to be wiped away.
“Now, throw this women and all the trash she brought with her out of here.

Security immediately stepped in
Sophia, limp and shaking, was dragged away like a lifeless dog, along with the men still licking the floor in disgrace.
Jacob, too, was “escorted” out.

After all, offending my fiance must come with consequences wouldn’t you agree?”
It was the final warning. The final judgment.
And Alexander delivered on every word.
Sophia’s mother was swiftly arrested and imprisoned on solid the charges.
The Montgomerys, eager to cut ties, publicly disowned Sophia and froze all her accounts.
Overnight, the tale heiress became nothing more than a discarded outcast.
As for Jacobs, be and the already crumbling Heynoldses learned firsthand what it meant to offend both the Cartets and the Montgomerys. The joint commercial offensive from the two families w
was swift and deadly
Funding was cut, partnerships were severed.
Reynolds Group was bled dry and collapsed like a gutted beast–declaring bankruptcy and liquidation
Their mansion, luxury cars, and every
asset of value were
