In the other ward.
Warren fel a sense of unease as he watched the sky outside gradually darken.
Madilyn noticed his strangeness, her eyes dimmed, and she spoke with a red–eyed, feigned grievance
“Warren, can you stay with me tonight? I’m really scared. Please don’t leave me alone, okay?”
She sobbed and cried, looking pitiful.
Seeing Madilyn crying with tears streaming down her face, Warren instinctively wanted to agree to her.
