I looked at him with mockery. Who was he trying to persuade?
To swallow my pride and keep quiet, let Megan keep her lie intact?
“That’s enough!” My father’s face turned ashen. Suddenly, he raised his hand and slapped me hard across the face.
“We should never have taken you in!”
The blow cracked through the room, silence crashing down like a guillotine.
My head jerked to the side, my cheek burning fiercely, ears ringing–but inside, I felt a strange calm.
So that’s how it was.
Everything made sense now.
They weren’t just biased–They never saw me as one of them.
Because I wasn’t.
I slowly turned my head back, looking at the man who once called himself my father, a cold smile curling on my lips.
At that moment-
“Stop!”
A woman’s voice rang out, sharp with anger. Everyone froze.

The noblewoman stormed over, placing herself between me and my parents, her gaze icy as it swept over them.

Her voice carried the weight of long–suppressed fury: “I knew it. The way you treat her you’ve admitted it now. She’s not your child. Then this ends here.”
Amanda forced a cold calm, her tone harsh: “Who do you think you are? We’re disciplining our daughter. It’s not your place to interfere.”
Just then, Megan’s in–laws hurried over, their expressions shifting as they recognized the newcomer.
“Isn’t that… the Luna Queen?” one of them whispered.
Megan and her parents‘ faces instantly changed.
Brittany stared at them coldly.
“Since she isn’t your biological daughter, then we’ll test the blood–I believe she’s the child we lost over twenty years ago.”
“If she really is the daughter I lost all those years ago, then every wound you inflicted on her is my concern now.‘
A shocked murmur spread through the crowd.
I watched it all unfold with a slight upward curl on my lips, letting out a cold laugh.

I turned slowly, addressing Megan’s in–laws in a calm yet cutting tone: “If I’m not their real daughter and they never treated me like one, then why should I play nice?”
I paused, scanning Amanda and Ryan, then fixed my gaze on the former Luna of the Bluemoon Pack, Luna Lily, Megan’s mother–in–law.
“You’d better check into this child carefully. Don’t be fooled.”
At my words, Megan’s face turned deathly pale.
Her lips trembled, clearly wanting to argue.
But Luna Lily wasn’t naive. Megan’s reaction, followed by my pointed remark, erased any trace of doubt.
“Megan, is this child really yours?” Luna Lily frowned deeply, her voice grave.
“Is he truly the heir of the Bluemoon Pack?”
