I was right as soon as I opened the door I saw her on the floor hugging her knees.
“Hey you okay?” I asked her and she looked up with tears on her face.

Melissa was shy and it took her awhile before she talked openly to me. But when she did we had a lot in common. She still wanted to sit alone at lunch but she agreed to hang out with me.
