Chapter 15
The following days were filled with heavy snow, making it impossible to walk on the roads due to the thick snow accumulation. As a result, both the school and the company decided to take a holiday together.
Grace and Isabella spent their days at home, doing nothing but eating and sleeping, living a blissful life.
Occasionally, when watching a movie, Grace would burst into tears along with the characters in the film. And sometimes, when reading a book together, Grace would also be moved to tears by the characters in the story.
“Mom, how come I never noticed before that you used to cry so much?” Isabella wondered, wiping her mother’s tears.
“In the past…”
Grace’s thoughts seemed to be pulled far away, and she remained silent. for a long time.
“The previous mother was too numb, so numb that she lost the ability to perceive emotions,” Grace shook her head and smiled bitterly, picking up Isabella and placing her on her own lap.
Artists need to maintain a high level of sensitivity and strong empathy in order to obtain a constant flow of inspiration. If Bella chooses to pursue this path in the future, remember not to let this society erode your emotional perception.
While speaking, he slowly stroked Isabella’s head.
Chapter 19
Isabella nodded obediently and said that she remembered.
The rain cleared and the sky brightened, and then time accelerated
forward.
The big show was already just around the corner, but due to several days of heavy snowfall, the progress of the works was delayed by more than half.
In the following days, Grace had to work overtime to catch up with the
progress.
Perhaps it was because of her passion, but overtime did not bring pain to Grace. Instead, it brought her excitement to complete her work and the thrill of returning to the industry.
When she lifted her head again.
Done.
Eyes were filled with unspeakable excitement and thrill.
She looked at the completed manuscript in front of her, and the messy desk further highlighted the vividness of the work.
The bull, with arrows all over its body, had a look of despair and pity in its eyes. The arrows, piercing the bullfighter, resembled both feathers and armor. Both of them seemed to share the same fate. The bright red background made it difficult to distinguish whether it was blood or wickedness. The design alone was already visually impactful.
I dare not imagine how breathtaking it would be if presented with Navajo embroidery.
Grace returned home with a heart full of passion and excitement. Next, she just had to wait for the finished product.
Chapter 15
The company contacted a highly skilled embroiderer, and after half a month of hard work, they finally received the finished product. When the cloak was unfolded, everyone in the company was taken aback by the powerful image, causing their breath to momentarily pause.
It was as if a live Spanish bullfighting arena was vividly presented before my eyes. The chilling wind whistled past my ears, mixed with the roars and grievances of the bulls, as well as the indomitable spirit and
compassion of the bullfighters.
After a brief silence, thunderous applause followed, and everyone sincerely admired Grace’s ability. Taking this piece to participate in the grand show, their company is bound to shine.
Everything was prepared, and the grand show arrived as scheduled.
Grace took a deep breath to calm her nerves, and looked at the clothes worn by the model. A satisfied smile appeared at the corner of her mouth.
A while ago, after finalizing the process with the organizers, they decided to have this piece of clothing as the grand finale of the fashion show. The entire company was thrilled, as the significance of the grand finale was self–evident.
The models appeared on the stage for the display, and the reactions of the crowd below were exactly the same when they received the finished products.
The whole audience took a breath in shock and then erupted into thunderous applause.
Grace, as a designer, took the stage to present her design concept. As soon as she appeared, she locked eyes with Antonio, who was sitting. below. Antonio’s gaze was so intense that it seemed like he wanted to burn her.
Chapter 15
The moment their eyes met; Grace quickly averted her gaze.
Antonio clenched his fists and reassured himself in his mind that it’s okay, they had just begun, and then he looked up eagerly at her again.
The work is called “Coexistence,” taking Spain’s bullfighting as a starting point, hoping that everyone can be kind–hearted and achieve harmonious coexistence between humans and nature…
Grace talked eloquently about her design philosophy on stage, and Antonio’s eyes welled up with tears as he watched. This scene overlapped with the one from many years ago.
Years ago, Grace was also shining like this, standing on the stage
delivering her speech, mesmerizing him completely. He vowed to win her over no matter what.
But in those years together with him, she dimmed her own light for herself, and he actually despised her because of this, little did he know that all of this was because of himself.
As Grace finished her explanation, thunderous applause erupted all around, and it was only then that Antonio snapped out of his reverie.
Fortunately, it was not too late for Antonio to realize it himself. He thought there might still be a chance to make amends.
But he didn’t know that a broken mirror can never be mended.
