Chapter 16
The activity ended, and Antonio followed Grace all the way to the entrance of the community.
“I think I made myself clear enough, Mr. Kaufman. Is there anything else you don’t understand?”
Upon hearing the words “Mr. Kaufman,” Antonio’s heart throbbed painfully.
“Did I bother you by coming home?” Antonio said, pretending to be casual.
Grace was taken aback, wasn’t she heading towards her own residential area?
Antonio had already stepped into the community before her, opening the door next to hers..
Grace was speechless for a moment; she had been so busy lately that she hadn’t even noticed that her neighbor had changed.
The fact that Antonio didn’t come to disturb me during these past few months was a big relief.
During the past few months, Antonio rapidly developed international business upon returning to his home country. He was determined to establish a branch in Canada as quickly as possible. The employees of the company thought their boss had gone mad and no one dared to provoke him. The company was filled with a low–pressure atmosphere for several
months.

Natalie couldn’t find Antonio ever since she returned from her trip. He didn’t reply to her messages and didn’t answer her calls. Unable to find any other solution, she went straight to the company to look for him.
I was truly startled when I saw Antonio. He, who usually pays so much attention to his appearance, was sitting on the floor of the office, disheveled. The room was pitch black, and the overwhelming darkness. was mixed with a pungent smell of alcohol.
Natalie turned on the light, and Antonio raised his hand to shield his eyes from the brightness. He didn’t know how long it had been since he last. saw light, and he also didn’t know how long it had been since he shaved his beard. It looked a bit prickly.
This was the usual state of Antonio during the time he returned to his country. He worked tirelessly during the day and trapped himself in the office at night, drowning his sorrows in alcohol. He appeared completely dejected.
Natalie stepped over a pile of wine bottles.
“Antonio, what happened to you?”
Antonio glanced up at Natalie.
“How did you come?”
“Since you came back, you have been out of touch. I’m worried about you, so I had to come and find you myself.”
Antonio stood up from a pile of wine bottles and said, “Just so you know, even if you didn’t come, I would have come to find you. I have already told your brother, and in a couple of days, he will come to take you back. From now on, we should have no further contact.”
Chapter 16
Natalie incredulously looked at him and shouted, “I’m not going back. I want to stay here.”
Antonio grabbed her wrist: “I don’t feel like investigating those little actions you did, but my wife has always been and will always be Grace. You are Drake’s sister, and I don’t want to make things too ugly.”
“But you had already divorced?”
“I would have pursued her again.”
“What can’t be retrieved, Antonio, do you really understand? A broken relationship can never go back to its original state, let alone a woman who has completely given up.”
“This is not something you should worry about. Get ready to go back with your brother, and don’t come here again in the future.”
Natalie looked at the infatuated man in front of her and couldn’t help but find it amusing. He never cared about what he had, he only ever liked.
what he couldn’t have.
He left a sentence wishing him good luck and turned away.
After resolving Natalie’s matter, Antonio went crazy and worked with the entire company. Finally, a few days before the fashion show, he managed to complete the necessary procedures for the Canada branch.
Then, he immediately flew to Canada and rented the house next to Grace’s at a high price,
He wanted to fight a protracted war here, as long as the time was sufficient, Grace would definitely forgive him, he thought so.
Grace stood speechless, staring at the door for a while. The door to her own house opened directly, and Laurel’s head poked out from inside.
“Why are you standing at the door and looking? Did you forget to bring the keys?”
The light in Grace’s eyes flickered: “How did you come?”
Laurel wrapped her arms around her neck and said, “I remember someone. once said they would take care of me, and now they are in charge of a company branch. Of course, I have to come and seek their support.”
She turned around, looking at her with a pitiful expression, and said, “I haven’t wanted to make an effort for a long time. Just tell me if you’re going to support me or not.”
Grace scratched her nose and said, “How can you not take care of it?”
Laurel kept apologizing to her, saying that Antonio was able to find her because he had installed a tracker on her own phone, and she had no idea, which made her efforts to hide in vain.
It felt as if countless warm currents were flowing through her heart, dyeing it soft and sweet. How could she not know that Laurel was afraid of her loneliness in a foreign land, giving up her stable life to accompany her in wandering? And how could she blame her? Even if it wasn’t her, as long as Antonio wanted to find her, he would find a way, she knew.
In one’s lifetime, they will meet many people, but it is incredibly lucky to meet someone who treats them in such a way.
