Chapter 31
Scarlett pressed her lips together, looking down at her arms that appeared as white as foam in the sunlight.]
This was a perfectly healthy body–one that wouldn’t feel discomfort from prolonged sun exposure, wouldn’t endure painful chemotherapy, wouldn’t get nauseated from a couple drinks or a slice of cake, wouldn’t catch a cold from the slightest breeze.]]
It was everything she had dreamed of during her terminal illness.]
But…
Scarlett exhaled deeply, smiling. “But my original wish was to see him one more time.“[]
In her previous life, she had lived brilliantly.[]
God had given her everything it could–loving parents, a decent family, a boyfriend willing to die for her countless times, a relationship that could truly be called passionate and fulfilling.
Although the final year had been difficult, she had lived vibrantly for twenty–six years. There was nothing to regret, nothing to complain about, nothing reconsider. She only wanted to stay true to her heart, to the reason she had returned to this world.]
To see Nathaniel one last time.]]
Scarlett closed her eyes briefly, then walked step by step into the exhibition hall.[]
The clock on the wall ticked steadily.[]
Nathaniel stood by the blue diamond ring display, his back to her, his tall figure solitary and desolate.

Scarlett paused, hearing Nathaniel’s hoarse voice: “If I expose your identity, you’ll disappear, won’t you? Three years ago in the hospital, it was the same-I recognized you, and you vanished. Today, will you disappear again?”
Scarlett’s nose suddenly stung with emotion. She walked forward slowly. “Yes, I’ll disappear today. So, don’t you want to see me one more time?“[]
Nathaniel’s back stiffened. Scarlett moved behind him and, just as she had done countless times before, wrapped her arms around his waist from behind, resting her cheek against his back. Through bone and flesh, she could clearly hear his heartbeat, which seemed to be weeping.
?”
She said softly, “We’ve missed each other for so long, Nathaniel. Don’t you want to look at me?”
The summer breeze gently stirred her hair, bringing a hot, humid sensation.
Nathaniel remained rigid. He turned, and pulled her tightly into his arms.[]
In his embrace, Scarlett’s eyes grew wet. “Don’t wait for me anymore, and don’t look for me. Near–death experiences won’t bring me back. I won’t return.”
She forced herself to speak calmly. “Nathaniel, I want you to live well–not for anyone else, only for yourself.”
“I can’t do that,” Nathaniel replied gravely.
Scarlett’s heart ached. She was about to speak when cold lips firmly silenced her words.[]
The exhibition hall was perfectly still. The two stood so close, their warmth mingling.
Scarlett tried to push him away–she had so much more to tell him.

BU…
In such a quiet atmosphere, such a salty air, such a sorrowful Nathaniel, and herself on the verge of disappearing…
Scarlett slowly closed her eyes, reaching up to hold Nathaniel’s neck as her eyes grew damp.[]
She could accept her fate, but she still wanted so desperately to see Nathaniel again.[]
The clock ticked steadily.

My Ex Planned His Wedding… On My Death Day?!
Chapter 31
With a clear “ding,” the ten o’clock bell rang.[]
In her heart, Scarlett silently said, “Goodbye, Nathaniel.“]
She dosed her eyes, prepared to vanish.[]
However-
One second passed, two seconds passed… ten seconds passed…[]
The cold sensation on her lips didn’t disappear. Scarlett opened her eyes in confusion to see an equally puzzled Nathaniel.[]
She leaned back slightly, ending the kiss. Nathaniel gazed at her silently.[]
Scarlett froze, suddenly remembering what Damian had said–only those with powerful wishes could remain in this world.[]
Her intense desire had been to see Nathaniel again, and in fact, every second her wish was to see him again.[]
So it kept stacking indefinitely?
Had Had she discovered a loophole?]
Scarlett didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. Nathaniel’s eyes grew serious. “Will you… still leave?“[]
Scarlett looked at him, a bittersweet feeling of survival washing over her.
She tilted her head up, kissing Nathaniel’s lips. “I’m staying.“[]
If her wishes could truly be fulfilled, then let her wish to never be separated from Nathaniel, for all eternity.[]
