Chloe immediately blushed, walking over to hug his arm and cooing, “What father–in–law? I haven’t even agreed to marry you yet.”
Her father also chuckled. “It’s fine, it’s fine. You’ll be family sooner or later. Who else would he marry if not you?”
Chloe’s face turned even redder with feigned shyness, pouting cutely. “He wants to marry me, but I’m not so sure I want to marry him! I have many suitors, you know. I’ll have to see his performance to decide who to marry.”
Her aunt and uncle immediately stood up. “This must be Chloe’s boyfriend? Mr. Fuentes, hello. We’re Chloe’s aunt and uncle.”
Her mother smiled. “We’re all family, please sit.”
Chloe was still being haughty. “Mom and Dad, you’re too easy to talk to! I’m your most cherished daughter, and you’re just giving me away so easily?”
She turned to Julian. “My cousin needs your help with something. Are you going to help or not?”
Julian looked at this face, almost identical to Riley’s. Before, he had only thought she was a little willful, a little haughty, but innocent, kind, and
adorably playful.
But now, knowing the entire truth, he found her deliberately coy expression utterly disgusting.
He harshly pulled his arm free from her grasp, as if flicking off dust, and frowned, disdainfully patting the spot she had just touched.
Chloe didn’t react for a moment, then feigned anger and demanded, “What are you doing? Am I dirty? If you’re so disgusted with me, why did you ever come looking for me?”
With that, she turned her back.
But she didn’t walk far, clearly waiting for Julian to coax her.
In the past, Julian would have immediately softened and coaxed her gently.
But today, Julian just said coldly, “I didn’t come here for you today.”
Chloe turned back, suspiciously. “Not for me? Then who did you come for? You don’t have any connection with my aunt and uncle, do you?”
Julian gave a humorless smile. “Of course, I came to see my esteemed father–in–law and mother–in–law.”
His demeanor today was clearly off.
He wasn’t humble and warm like a son–in–law should be; instead, he was like a grim reaper come to collect a soul.
Julian walked uninvited into the Miller’s house,

The remaining four were Chloe’s dressing room, Chloe’s walk–in closet, Chloe’s pet room, and a storage room.
There was no room for Riley.
This family had long since stopped treating Riley as their own flesh and blood.
“Today, I am not here as Chloe’s suitor, but as Riley’s husband.”
He said coldly, “So calling you Father–in–law and Mother–in–law is not inappropriate, is it?”
Her father’s eyes widened. “You… you’re Julian? You’re that worthless, broke man that pathetic girl married?”
As soon as these words left his mouth, her father immediately felt he had spoken inappropriately.
He sheepishly clamped his mouth shut.
Her mother was more surprised. “But… you like Chloe. We all saw it with our own eyes. Why are you Riley’s husband?”
“Because I was too foolish once, mistook a common stone for a diamond.” Julian said. “My name is indeed Julian, but my last name is Fuentes. My full name is Julian Fuentes, and I am the CEO of the Fuentes Group. As for being worthless… Father–in–law, do you only measure a person’s worth by their income?”
Her father’s face had already turned pale.
The sudden news had caught him off guard. “N–no, that’s not it. If I had known you were Riley’s husband, I would have…”
“Would have what?” Julian sneered. “Would you have been respectful and polite to me? Father–in–law, I’m not here to reminisce today. I’m here to seek justice for my wife, Riley!”
No sooner had he spoken than a large group of men in black stormed into the villa.
Leading them was Max, the assistant.
Max’s expression was also cold, and his words were unforgiving. “Everyone, please leave this villa immediately. This house was purchased by our Mr. Fuentes for his wife. Only his wife can live here. All other unauthorized persons are strictly forbidden.”
Chloe didn’t understand why Julian had suddenly become a completely different person.
Tears welled in her eyes as she said softly, “Julian, what are you doing? Didn’t you buy this villa for me? Why is it suddenly for my sister? And it’s so late, where are you going to send our family?”
Max stepped forward, blocking Chloe’s path as she tried to cling to Julian.
He said with a strained smile, “Miss Chloe, our Mr. Fuentes just said he’s here to seek justice for our Mrs. Fuentes. Don’t you know in your heart how many outrageous things you’ve done to Mrs. Fuentes over the years?!”
