Returning to this familiar city once again, Greta’s mindset had undergone a complete transformation.
She pushed the luggage and walked out of the airport with Sharon, chatting and laughing.
As they were chatting, Sharon saw her parents and waved at them in the distance.
She introduced Greta to her parents, and the elderly couple strongly invited her to come home with them,

After parting ways temporarily, she walked out of the airport alone, pushing her luggage, only to realize that it was raining heavily outside.
There were no cars on the road. She opened the ride–hailing app and was about to male a call when a black car suddenly stopped in front of her
She instinctively Hited her head and saw Kayson wallding towards her with an umbrella
After months of not seeing each other, he had lost a lot of weight and was wearing a dark green windbreaker, looking as slender as a bamboo pole.
Greta didn’t expect him to show up and was momentarily stunned.
He, however, walked straight up to her, with a complex emotion in his eyes that she couldn’t understand, and spoke in a deep voice.

was okay.”
This cold attitude made Kayson feel a little disappointed.
But he understood that all of this made sense.
After all, they were just a divorced couple.
So be quickly adjusted his mindset and looked at the suitcase in her hand.
“The rain was too heavy, shall I take you back to the hotel?”
Looking at the reminder on the screen that the order had been received, Greta shook her head and declined his kindnessL
“No need, I had already hailed a taxi.”
“Then you take the umbrella, otherwise the luggage will get wet.”
Greta didn’t know why he suddenly become so enthusiastic, and a strange feeling surged in her heart.
“I didn’t need your help, nor did I feel any necessity for us to have any further connection, Mr. Brady. What do you think?”
This sentence pierced straight into the depths of Kayson’s heart like a needle.
His hands, gathered in his sleeves, trembled slightly, and be forced a smile.
“Divorced, can’t even be friends anymore?”
Greta put her phone back into her pocket and took out an umbrella from her bag, watching the approaching car.
*Before the divorce, we were just ordinary classmates. After the divorce, it would be better to go back to that time. You and I, we were never meant to be in the same world, there’s i need to be friends.”
There was no emotion in any of the words or sententes.
Now, Kayson was stunned.
He watched as the driver helped to load her luggage into the trunk, watched as she opened the car door, watched as she folded up her unbrella, and felt that something was slowly drifting away from him.
He couldn’t help but step forward and grabbed the closing car door.
In the sound of the rushing raindrops, his voice was particularly resolute and powerful
“I didn’t feel like we were not people of the same world.”

“Greta, perhaps you have heard countless people gossiping about your background and criticizing your choice to marry me, but I want to tell you that have never underestimated you, nor have I ever had any thoughts that you don’t deserve to stand by my side. You simply accepted everything you have with grace and courageously pursued what you love. You don’t need to belittle yourself”
Greta had been living alone for nearly ten years when she heard someone say this for the first time.
She turned her head to look at him, slightly curling her lips, and spoke a few words to him with a rare smile,
“Thank you”
