The next afternoon, Ronan was groggily shaken awake.
He rubbed his aching temples and opened his eyes, ready to snap, but then he saw Heyar crying uncontrollably.
“Ronan, Mrs. Moretti… she wants to fire my parents and kick our whole family out of the estate! You have to do something!”[]
The fuzzy images in his head instantly vanished upon hearing this.[]
He sat up abruptly, his voice filled with disbelief.[]
“That’s impossible!”
He grabbed his phone to call his mother and ask an explanation.[]
But as soon as the call connected and she heard his purpose, his mother hung up immediately.
“No way, this isn’t up for discussion!“]]
Hearing that decisive response, Heyar cried even harder, clinging to him and pleading desperately.
“Ronan, please try to convince Mrs. Moretti! Our family hasn’t done anything wrong. I just wanted to stay by your side–you understand my heart, don’t
you?”
Seeing her so heartbroken, Ronan’s heart ached. After finding out his mother’s location, he rushed to the family estate with the entire Heyar family.
The usually quiet estate was bustling with visitors today, voices audible from a great distance.
Ronan wasn’t sure what was happening inside and intended to wait for his mother to come out.[]
But after standing there for just three to five minutes, unable to resist Heyar’s repeated pleas, he forced his way in.[]
The moment the living room doors burst open, everyone in the hall turned around.[]
Seeing the entire Moretti family, young and old, along with Isabella’s parents all gathered together, and witnessing Lucius and Isabella kneeling before the Mr.Moretti for the traditional family gathering, Ronan realized this wasn’t an appropriate time.[]
He was about to leave with his group when Heyar’s mother, completely oblivious to the situation, fell to her knees before Ronan’s parents, tearfully crying out her grievances.
“Mrs. Moretti, my husband and I have served you for over ten years! I watched the young master Ronan grow up! Why would you fire our entire family without even a word of explanation? Whatever we did wrong, just tell us and we’ll change!“]]
Being confronted by servants: making such a scene in front of everyone made Mrs. Moretti’s face darken immediately.[]
“Enough! Whatever this is about, we’ll discuss it later! This is the family estate–you’re out of line!“]
Hearing “family estate” only made Heyar’s mother cry harder, and she crawled over to kneel before the Mr.Moretti to beg.
What should have been a solemn ceremony suddenly turned into a courtroom of complaints.[]
The three members of Heyar’s family insisted the Mr.Moretti intervene on their behalf, while Ronan’s parents were furious but couldn’t stop them due to propriety and appearances.[]
The Mr.Moretti had always been benevolent and never mistreated the help, so hearing this complaint, he definitely wanted to understand the situation fully.
Seeing his grandfather personally getting involved, Ronan knew things had gone too far. He didn’t dare speak up and frantically signaled Heyar with his eyes.

But Heyar, consumed by despair and thinking he was trying to abandon her completely, simply followed her mother’s lead and kept kowtowing.
Just as the situation was about to become completely unmanageable, Lucius picked up a glass from the table and smashed it in front of the Heyar family.
The crash of shattering glass filled the air.]
The chaotic hall fell into instant silence.
After helping Isabella to her seat, Lucius approached his father and bowed slightly.
“Father, why don’t you and Mr. and Mrs. Claymore go upstairs for coffee and conversation? Let me handle this matter. I’ll ensure you and our guests receive a proper explanation.“]
