Chapter 12
Calvin remained silent as he set down his phone, the faint scent of bergamot lingering in the air. He lowered his gaze to the incense burning at the doorway of the study, now reduced to a small dish of ash.
He never allowed Helena to enter and leave the study room without permission, but Helena would always light incense for him at the door. Ast soon as one stick burned out, a new one would quickly be lit. There was never any omission.
At that time, she squatted beside him, raised her head, and said in a particularly serious tone, “Calvin, I have checked. The scent of this incense is beneficial for relaxing and soothing your emotions, and it is good for your illness.”
Calvin could smell the sweetness in the air and felt nothing but disgust.
He always felt annoyed when others mentioned his autism, especially when the word “autism” was used as a gimmick in the advertisements for his history lectures. It was clearly Helena’s marketing strategy.
The Ziegler family were all so vulgar and materialistic, with no limits when it came to money. A place like the study, of course, was off–limits to Helena.
At this moment, Calvin lowered his head, his thoughts blurred in his eyes. He pinched off the last piece of incense with his bare hands, walked out of the study, and looked at Dorothy.
“Where did she go?” Calvin’s voice tightened.
Dorothy shook her head hastily, “I don’t know…”

Chapter 12
The man unconsciously clenched his jaw until he tasted the bloody taste in his mouth, and then he was slightly awake for a moment.
On the other side, Kate was caught up in the ecstasy of divorce. She picked up the divorce certificate from the ground, caressing her pregnant belly, and immediately hugged the man in front of her.
our
“Calvin, when should we get marriage certificate? Or should we first choose a name for the baby? How about picking one from the Book of Songs? What do you think?”
Calvin stood there impassively. His gaze was unusually vacant, devoid of any emotión, as he calmly broke free from the embrace.
Kate had not noticed yet, still trying to hold onto the man.
Calvin suddenly grabbed her wrist with great force, and Kate couldn’t
move at all.
The man said slowly, “Knock it down.”
“What?” Kate thought she must have misheard, “Calvin, what did you just say?”
“I said, get rid of it,” Calvin said, lowering his gaze and staring at the woman’s slightly swollen belly, as if he were looking at a stillborn.
Kate immediately protected her stomach, “Calvin, are you crazy? This is your child. You and Helena didn’t have a child for seven years. Isn’t it good enough that I’m willing to have one for you?”
Calvin’s expression remained unchanged as he said, “If you give birth, she won’t be happy.”
“Who?” Kate suddenly realized, “Helena? Calvin, she’s already divorced from you, you have no legal relationship anymore, why would she be upset?”
Chapter 12
It was unclear which word angered the man, but in that moment, Calvin’s pupils dilated and he suddenly grabbed Kate’s neck tightly, insisting, “You’re lying! Helena couldn’t have left, she’s just throwing a tantrum, just a tantrum!”
The woman choked and everything went blank before her eyes.
He went crazy, Calvin went crazy!
She tried to pull the man’s arm away, but found it immovable. In the end, it was the security guards from the villa who came in and pulled Calvin away, allowing Kate to finally escape, stumbling and falling to the ground.
The red marks on her neck were particularly striking. Just as she was about to get up, she suddenly felt a rush of heat flowing out from
underneath her.
Dorothy’s astonished voice rang in my ears: “Oh no, bleeding, bleeding!”
However, Calvin remained unresponsive, repeating the word “Helena” as if he had lost his most precious treasure, and finally stared fixedly at the blood on the ground.
The man suddenly stopped, pursed his lips and smiled.
Helena was most afraid of him getting hurt on a regular basis.
In the beginning, when he first developed autism and had a tendency to self–harm, Helena stuck closely to him every day, like a shadow, always by his side.
No matter who it was, anyone could see the panic and worry in her eyes.
At this moment, Calvin lowered his gaze and looked at the pen on the table. He calmly picked up the pen tip and aimed it fiercely at his wrist, stabbing into it.
