Chapter 52
The onset didnt believe for a second that any of the Regality Academy kids were better than him. So the only explanation And to be that some dangerous had snuck onto the island.
Meanwhile Narissa had no idea shed caused such a stir back on the ship. She didn’t know her little move would set off alarms
After sending the messer, she quickly took apart the device and hid the pieces back on her body. With nothing left behind, there was no way anyone could trace it back to her.
She let out a breath. Ever since she took the job of stealing The Blood Ruby, Bastien had been on her tail.
He’d chased her across borders–this was the first time she’d ever been hunted this hard, all the way from overseas to her Own turf
Now that the job was almost wrapped up, she could finally relax. As long as she didn’t have The Blood Ruby on her, there was no proof she was Fox.
Feeling at case, Narissa climbed up a big tree, stretched out on a thick branch, and closed her eyes. She looked completely relaxed like she didn’t have a care in the world.
She figured she’d just eat, nap, and chill for the next three days. But just as she was about to drift off, her sharp ears picked up movement. Someone was coming–so much for her nap.
From the sound alone, Narissa could tell it was just one person. They were fast and quiet–clearly trained.
But Narissa didn’t care. Only someone like Bastien could sneak up on her.
The footsteps suddenly stopped right near her. Narissa didn’t move, but one eyebrow lifted. Something was off.
She didn’t have to wait long to find out. More people were coming.
She understood–the first person must’ve spotted her alone and called in backup to surround her.
Narissa grinned, thinking this could be fun.
Down below, the group quietly closed in, surprised to see a girl sitting there all by herself.
Well, she’s got guts, one of them thought. ‘Hope she doesn’t freak out and start bawling once we catch her
Just as they were about to move in, Narissa suddenly opened her eyes. In the blink of an eye, she was gone.
She hadn’t actually vanished–just jumped to a different tree before they even noticed.
Now perched in another spot, Narissa looked down at the group, watching them scramble.
“Where’d she go?” One guy signaled to another.

“No clue.” The other signaled back.
“We’ve been spotted,” someone else warned.
The group huddled up, whispering so quietly that even they could barely hear each other.
Narissa leaned back and found some fruit hanging nearby. She plucked one, took a bite, and snacked while watching these so–called “experts” try to figure out what happened.
These weren’t just random people–they were instructors hired by Regality Academy. Their job was to train the students in survival skills and combat.
To make it feel real, they’d attack students in all kinds of ways–ambushes, chases, even staged fights.
They weren’t allowed to actually kidnap anyone, just scare them and push them to the edge. The whole point was to toughen the kids up and help them unlock their potential.
It might sound intense, but for spoiled rich kids who’d never been through anything real, this was the fastest way to teach them how to survive.
After making a plan, the group split up to search for Narissa.
They figured she had to be nuts to wander off alone–probably hiding somewhere, scared out of her mind.
But just hiding wouldn’t teach her anything, so they decided to track her down and give her a good scare.
While they searched the area, Narissa moved like a leopard–silent, quick, always one step ahead.
Two hours went by, and they still hadn’t found a trace of her–not even a wild animal.
“This is getting weird. Where the hell is she?” one of them muttered, clearly frustrated.
The rest were just as confused. They were sure Narissa wasn’t anywhere nearby, so they finally let their guard down and started talking out loud.
But the truth was, Narissa had never gone far. She was still in the area, hiding in plain sight. She blended into her surroundings well, and it was like watching a bunch of blindfolded people stumbling around.
“We can’t waste any more time. We have to find her,” someone said.
Then they heard it–panting. It was rough, heavy, and close. Everyone froze.
“Oh no! Was that a tiger?” one guy whispered.
“Do you think it got the girl?” someone else asked.
“No way,” another said. “We came here first and used tranquilizers on all the dangerous animals. They should still be knocked out for days.”
Up in her tree, Narissa rolled her eyes.
“These guys are way too relaxed,’ she thought. ‘Do they really think wild animals are that easy to control? Animals survive by staying hidden. They’ve all got their own ways of blending in to avoid being hunted.

Chapter 52
Narissa figured the search party hadn’t looked carefully enough. Some animals must’ve slipped through.
And sure enough, there it was–a tiger, just off to the group’s four o’clock. Narissa could see it clearly from where she sat.
Its belly hung low. Narissa immediately guessed it was a pregnant tigress, probably close to giving birth.
Everyone knew mama animals were the most dangerous. And this one looked ready to fight. Anyone who got too close was asking for trouble.
Narissa hesitated about whether she should step in.
Before she could decide, the tiger charged. It wasn’t scared–it was hungry.
Things were finally getting complicated.
The group was caught completely off guard. They panicked and tried to fight back, but that only made the tiger even more aggressive. It was dead set on tearing them apart.
Just as it was about to pounce on one of the guys, Narissa made her move.
