Chapter 57

That way, when the tournament rolled around, everyone would be in top form and ready to go all out.

With this extra ten–day break, Amanda pulled Hector aside to discuss taking the family on a vacation.

Amanda said, “Honey, ever since we brought Narissa back into the family, we haven’t really taken her out for a proper trip together. I can tell Cressida still seems a bit distant from her.”

Hector sighed, “Yeah, these two girls should’ve grown up surrounded by our love, but unfortunately, Narissa…”

Amanda immediately brightened and said, “So I’ve decided to take our family on a vacation.

“It’ll be the perfect chance for Narissa and Cressida to stay together under one roof and really build that sisterly bond.”

“That’s a great idea!” Hector agreed.

“Alright, I’ll start making the arrangements then,” Amanda said.

Amanda was a woman of action. Once she made up her mind, things happened fast.

The very next day, Narissa and Cressida were practically dragged along, suitcases in hand, as their parents whisked them onto a plane bound for a holiday getaway!

But when Cressida and Narissa were assigned to sit next to each other, Cressida was absolutely disgusted.

She couldn’t say anything about it, so she just kept a long face the entire trip.

Narissa ate a little, pulled a blanket over herself, put on an eye mask, and slept all the way to their destination.

“Are you a pig or something? How can you sleep the whole way here?” Cressida grumbled, clearly annoyed by her sister’s laziness

“Cressida, how can you talk to your sister like that?” Amanda scolded her softly.

“Am I wrong? All she’s done this whole trip is eat and sleep. I’ve never seen anyone who can sleep this much,” Cressida retorted.

Cressida glared at Narissa, looking thoroughly irritated.

“Alright, that’s enough,” Amanda said, “We still need to check in, so let’s get off the plane.”

This time, Amanda had picked a national scenic spot for their family getaway.

Everything there was the absolute best Rothialand had to offer. Even though it wasn’t peak tourist season, the place was still buzzing with people.

They were guaranteed to wake up every morning to the most breathtaking sunrise.

Additionally, once they entered the area, they felt like they’d stepped right into an oil painting, with every angle looking like a perfect Instagram backdrop.

Chapter 57

The real showstopper was the row of red–roofed, white–walled villas nestled among the mountains and crystal–clear waters.

Each one looked like a fairytale castle, radiating a magical, healing vibe that could melt away anyone’s worries.

But even that wasn’t the best part.

Amidst the mountains and rivers, there was a spot shrouded in white mist, with flowers and greenery scattered all around.

It looked just like a fairyland–so magical that people couldn’t help but want to step right in and see what it felt like to be walking among the clouds.

Amanda said, “Cressida, Narissa, here together.

the key cards to our villa. Later, the whole family is supposed to hit the hot springs

“I heard the water here is super soothing–just what you two need to wash away all that exhaustion.”

Amanda slipped the two key cards into her daughters‘ hands.

But it was obvious that Hector and she had their own plans and weren’t actually planning to tag along with Cressida and Narissa.

Cressida was pushing her luggage, getting ready to leave, when there happened to be a kid playing soccer nearby.

He kicked the ball over to them by accident.

Narissa lazily picked up the ball and kicked it back.

She was wearing a dress, and the way she did it just looked so rough and unladylike.

People around them were already pointing and gossiping.

Cressida instantly felt so embarrassed that she instinctively covered her face with her hand.

She said, “Narissa, seriously, can you stop? Can’t you act a little more ladylike when we’re out? Are you trying to embarrass the whole family or what?”

Narissa just shrugged indifferently. “You think it’s embarrassing? Too bad, you’ll just have to suck it up.”

Not only did she ignore Cressida, but she also dashed off like a fox seeing the world for the first time and jumped right into the game with the other kids.

Her white dress quickly got splattered with mud, looking absolutely filthy.
