The villa had three floors, not particularly tall, but for an ordinary person, a fall from that height would likely result in serious injury or even death.
However, the man in black adjusted his body mid–air and landed on the lawn in a crouch, steady and unshaken.
Narissa jumped down as well, ready to strike again from above.
But the man in black was quick to react, predicting her move and rolling away just in time to avoid her bone–crushing strike.
Narissa landed with force, her fist slamming into the lawn and creating a small crater over 4 inches deep.
But she wasn’t about to let up. Before he could strike back, she raised her leg and forcefully intercepted his punch.
His fist slammed into her shin as if he’d punched solid steel–every bone in his fingers snapped on the spot.
The man in black staggered back, trying to flex his hand, only to realize in shock that all four of his knuckles were shattered, each finger broken in several places.
That hand was done for.
“Who the hell are you?” The man in black no longer dared to underestimate Narissa.
If she were just an ordinary person, he would have had no trouble taking her down since he was a seasoned mercenary.
But Narissa’s leg strength and punching power were clearly way beyond what any normal person could do.
He felt that she was a total freak of nature.
Narissa lowered her leg, a faint smirk playing at her lips as she narrowed her eyes. “Someone like you isn’t even qualified to know my name.”
The man in black took two steps back.
Earlier, he’d thought blocking that poisoned needle was just a stroke of luck.
But now he realized he might’ve picked a fight with the wrong person.
He wondered if he could still make a run for it.
Without a second thought, he turned and bolted.
But Narissa had already locked onto him. There was no way she was letting him escape that easily.
In a flash, Narissa darted over in just a few steps, grabbed his shoulder, and with a burst of strength, forced him straight down to the ground.
The force behind her move was like a ton of bricks.
The man in black felt as if gravity had vanished–he was slammed flat onto the grass, completely helpless.

Chapter 68
Taking advantage of the moment, Narissa stomped her foot down on the back of his head, shoving his face into the fresh grass and making him eat a mouthful of it.
The man in black was overwhelmed by a terror he’d nev
he’d never felt before and started begging for his life.
Narissa giggled, her smile tinged with a wild, almost deranged edge that made it impossible to tell if she was truly crazy or just pretending.
The man in black felt a chill run down his
spine.
He’d always heard that some top mercenaries had all sorts of shady, freaky quirks.
‘Just my luck to run into a psycho big shot like this, he thought.
“Don’t kill me. I can tell you who sent me!” the man in black begged, his survival instinct kicking in as he desperately tried to bargain for his life.
“No need for that. Let me take a wild guess,” Narissa said, raising a finger and slowly saying a name.
The man in black’s face instantly went pale.
He thought, ‘She knows.
“That’s it. I’m useless to her now…

Somewhere in the hot spring resort, Beatrice stood by the floor–to–ceiling windows.
She was dressed in an expensive silk nightgown, sipping on a glass of fine red wine as she enjoyed the night sky, the gentle breeze, and the beautiful view.
She was in an excellent mood.
She was so happy she almost wanted to burst into song.
“Amanda, you bitch, you deserve to die!” Beatrice suddenly snapped, her eyes flashing with malice.
In the next second, her whole demeanor shifted, and her gaze turned vicious.
She hurled her wine glass straight at the floor–to–ceiling window.
Watching the red wine trickle down the glass, she broke into a crazed, twisted smile.
She said, “It’s fine. After tonight, Amanda will no longer exist.
“She’ll never be able to look down on me again.”
As she said this, Beatrice closed her eyes and began to waltz all alone in the living room.
Just as she was fantasizing about seeing Amanda’s disfigured body the next day, the front door was sent flying off its hinges with a single brutal kick.

The door crashed down onto the floor with a heavy thud, and someone strode right in.
Light from outside flooded the room, stretching the intruder’s shadow long and menacing across the floor.
Beatrice raised her hand to shield her eyes from the blinding glare, straining to see who had just stormed in.
