The crowd started backing off, not giving me another chance to grab anyone.[]
William pushed his way in, protecting me, “Are you okay?“[]
“I’ll get the neighbors to come help us get rid of these guys.“]
I shook my head.
“It’s useless. These are just thugs.”
“Even if we get rid of them today, they’ll be back tomorrow.“]
If you want to defeat a snake, you have to strike at its head, not just its body.
I had to hit them at their weak point to
weak point to make sure we’d be safe.
I turned my attention to Daniel, who was still chatting and laughing with Hannah. []

I had edited the footage a bit to make it look messy, but it was enough
I squeezed out more fake tears.
“Halal the house sold for $200,000 and we gave you every single pennyt
William snapped out of his daze and played along with my act.
“You said you needed over $500,000 to go abroad, and we wired the house money straight to your account.“]
“How the hell did you spend it all so fast?”
“We’ve got nothing left, the house is all we had… we’re drowning in debt.“||
“What are we supposed to do now?”
I crawled forward, grabbing Daniel’s pant leg, trying to put on my best desperate face.
“This is your new boyfriend, right?”
“He looks like a respectable guy. Maybe he can help us with some of this debt…”
Daniel shuddered and quickly yanked my hand away, kicking Hannah to the ground.
“Goddamn, you little bitch. You think you can fool me?”
“I’ve been busting my ass setting all this up, paying for everything, and you’re still acting like the money’s yours?“]
