Chapter 6
Six months ago. I took Bobbi to the hospital for a full checkup.[]
Previously, Jimmy had always taken her, but that time I happened to be free, so I left work early to pick her up from school.
The blood test showed Bobbi was type B.
But both Jimmy and I are type A – how could we have a type B daughter?
I repeatedly asked the nurses if there had been a mistake, but they assured me it was correct.[]
How could this be?]
How could Bobbi not be from my womb? I risked my life to give birth to her!
The stretch marks that appeared on my belly during my pregnancy with her are still crawling across my skin like scars. All of this proves that Bobbi is my child
I really wanted to forget about this whole thing. But it kept stabbing at my heart like a thorn, making me feel suffocated whenever I thought about it. []
So I secretly took one of Bobbi’s hairs along with mine and sent them for a DNA test.
The results showed that Bobbi and I had no biological relationship. When I learned this, it felt like I’d been struck by lightning- my whole body went numb.]
How could Bobbi not be my child?
To uncover the truth, I secretly installed hidden cameras at home) What I discovered was Jimmy and Mary being intimate on my bed while I was at work.
After learning about their relationship, I did another DNA test using Mary’s hair with Bobbi’s, and that’s when I discovered that Mary was Bobbi’s biological mother
So they had used my body to have their child, and I had been nothing but a tool for them all along
“So you knew all along…]
Jimmy stumbled back, swaying unsteadily.[]
Mary supported his arm lovingly and shouted at me, ‘So what if Bobbi isn’t your daughter? It’s been ten years! Ten whole years! Even a dog would develop feelings after being raised for so longt
How can you be so cold–blooded as to refuse to save Bobbi? She called you mother for ten years!”
I remained silent, only taking out my phone to play a recording.
Hobla’s childish voice came through from the other side:
This evil woman who broke up my mom and dad! I’m going to kill herr
“If this wicked stepmother dies, my mom and dad can be together again!”
I played another video recording.
In the video, Bobbi was pouring peanut powder into my water cup.
She poured nearly half the container in, and since I used a straw with my cup, I wouldn’t have been able to smell anything.
And I’m severely allergic to peanuts![]
The daughter I cherished and protected with my life actually wanted me dead!]
It wasn’t until later that I learned Bobbi had reconnected with Mary when she was very young.
They told Bobbi I was the bad person who tore her parents apart.]
That’s why for a while, Bobbi called me the old witch, the evil stepmother.[]
At the time, I thought it was because she’d watched too many cartoons, or because I sometimes scolded her strictly when she did something wrong, so she cast me as the villain.]
I even felt extremely guilty about it for a while, often crying in the middle of the night.
I thought it was because I hadn’t fulfilled my responsibilities as a mother, which led to my daughter disliking me.
Under Mary and Jimmy’s influence, she didn’t just resent me.]
She would secretly cut up my clothes and put glue in my cosmetics.[]
When I first learned how Jimmy and the others had wronged me, I was still grateful that at least I had a well–behaved, sensible daughter.]
But the truth turned out to be even more unbelievable and heartbreaking!
When this was revealed, everyone turned sympathetic glances my way.
The husband wasn’t truly mine, and neither was the child.
Yet I had devoted myself wholly to all three of them, contributing both money and effort, only to receive nothing good in
return.
I looked straight into Jimmy’s eyes, seeing the panic and unease within them.]
“Jimmy, you all claim to love your daughter, but after Bobbi died, your first action wasn’t to properly handle her body.” “Instead, you covered her with a white cloth and dumped her at my company’s entrance to condemn me?”
O
Chapter 7
At the mention of Bobbi, Mary rushed forward grief–stricken and grabbed my arm.]
With tears streaming down her face, she cried out in anguish:]
“What right do you have to speak of my daughter?!”
“If you hadn’t refused to save her, she wouldn’t have died! You’re the one who killed my daughter!“]
“You murderer, why don’t you just die! You should pay for my daughter’s life with your own!“]
I smiled slightly without speaking, only looking toward the intersection in the distance.
Several police cars were heading our way.[]
The police swarmed in and, to everyone’s shock, handcuffed Mary, Jimmy, and my mother–in–law in succession.
“Officers! You’re arresting the wrong people!”
“You should arrest this wretched woman! She’s the one who killed my daughter!”
Mary struggled frantically, trying to break free from police control
The police showed them their badges:]
“Someone reported you for planning a kidnapping resulting in death and conspiring to commit murder for insurance fraud. Please come with us.”
