The crowd erupted in laughter at my words:[]
“Did this bitch just say she could destroy Harrison Ellsworth?“]
“She’s completely lost her mind! What kind of delusional shit is that?“]
“Typical loser talk–she’s probably pissing herself with fear!“]
“Exactly–afraid her spot as Mrs. Ellsworth is gone, she’s lost her head and talks crazy.”
Lillian smirked with malice: “Victoria, you’re throwing away the opportunity of a lifetime!“]
“All you have to do is take care of me and my baby, and you get to stay Washington’s most envied woman. For trash like you, that’s hitting the jackpot!“]

Ignoring the provocation and smugness in Lillian’s eyes, I stayed ice–cold: “Being a billionaire’s wife might be your dream come true, Lillian. For me? It’s nothing.”
Lillian’s face twisted: “God, the fake act is exhausting. Without Harrison’s forced marriage, you’d never even see how rich people live!“]
“You were born to serve–that’s your destiny!“]
Harrison towered over me like I was dirt: “I don’t know why my father insisted on this marriage, but I’ve done my duty. Let you ride my coattails for years.“]]
“Since you can’t appreciate generosity, time for someone who deserves it.”
I almost pitied how pathetic he was.[]
“Harrison, YOU’VE been riding MY coattails. YOU’RE the ungrateful one. And YOU’RE the one who should step down.“]
His face went black with rage: “I was gonna let you keep some dignity for my father’s sake. But you keep running your mouth.“]
He snapped at his security: “Show this bitch who owns Washington!“]]
His goons stepped forward as everyone waited for my destruction.[]
Suddenly, the sky exploded with helicopter rotors.[]
Black helicopters descended like something out of an action movie, landing in perfect formation around us.[]
Fully armed federal agents emerged in tactical gear.[]
At the sight, the crowd gasped. “My God, this is fucking insane!“]
Amid their shock, Harrison practically bowed: “Officers! What brings you to our celebration?”
Chapter 10
For the first time, the ever–arrogant Harrison showed a rare hint of humility.[]
Lillian, seizing the moment, clung to his arm smugly: “Obviously they’re here for our wedding!“[]
The crowd went wild: []
“That’s right! They’re obviously here for Lillian and Mr. Ellsworth’s wedding!“]
“Harrison’s so powerful even the feds show up for his wedding!“]]
“This is insane! Lillian, you really married a king!“[]
In an instant, the crowd’s eyes burned with shock and envy, all fixed on Harrison and Lillian.[]
Lillian drank it in, her smile sharp with arrogance.]]
Harrison puffed up with pride, straightening his suit: “Thank you all for honoring our special day! Please, come inside!“]]
He gestured grandly.[]
But every single agent walked straight past him.[]
They surrounded ME.[]
The lead officer snapped to attention and saluted: “Agent Fontaine, responding to your distress call. Commander Julian Ashford–awaiting your orders, ma’am.“[]
