Chapter 25
On the day Tania saw the news, she had already left for Los Angeles.
Peter was nowhere to be seen, except for seeing her.
After hearing this, Tania’s face was full of mockery.
She looked at Peter across from her with an expressionless face. He looked haggard and worn out, no longer the spirited and lively person he
used to be.
Seeing his current situation, Tania was extremely happy.
If it weren’t for the no–photography rule, she would definitely have taken a
picture to show Josephine who was burned underground.
He licked his chapped lips as he looked at Tania.
“Where is the red string?”

Tania didn’t mention the red string at all, she just lowered her head and took out a notebook from her bag.

Peter stared intently at any movement on her hands without blinking.
Tania pressed the diary against the glass wall.
“What is this? Peter asked, puzzled.”
He wanted to see the red rope.
Tania didn’t say anything, she just opened her notebook and showed it to
him.

Seeing the content on the notebook, Peter’s eyes widened instantly.
Every page, every line was written with crooked handwriting.

Tania didn’t say anything, but he couldn’t control the trembling of his lips.
After a while, Tania slowly spoke.
“Peter, the letter you received originally wasn’t written by Josephine at all. Of course you wouldn’t have known, at that time she was in so much pain, she was suffering so much, yet she still did her best to write these words. Initially, she wanted to complete ten things with you, but you thought it was too much and only agreed to five things. The rest of the things, she wrote them all in a notebook. Those letters you saw were just me copying them out.”
Peter stared at Tania’s face in a daze, tears unconsciously streaming down his cheeks.
“Did it hurt a lot when she left?”
Tania did not answer him, she just looked at him silently.
After a while, she lowered her head and looked back.
The notebook was placed in front of Peter again.
What caught my eye was a sentence written as neatly as possible by Josephine.
“If there is a chance, I would like to come and see with Peter.”
Peter’s heart felt like it had been torn open, with blood continuously flowing out.
He completely broke down, hitting his head hard with his fists.

“I loved her, I loved Josephine! I loved her!”

Peter wept bitterly, like a child who could never cat candy again. The confusion and helplessness in his eyes would make anyone believe that he truly loved Josephine.
Tania stared at him for a long time, but only laughed.
“Peter, do you really love Josephine?”
He nodded in pain, wondering why he had only realized his deep love for Josephine so late.
Why was he so stupid? Why did he keep hurting the woman he loved the most? He couldn’t even see her one last time.
“You were wrong, Peter, you never loved Josephine.”
“No way! How could you know how much I loved her! You don’t
understand at all!”
He cursed at Tania fiercely.
“Why didn’t you come to see me at that time? Why did you only contact me by phone? You made me miss the chance to see her for the last time!”
Seeing him like this, Tania just smirked sarcastically.
“Peter, you said you love Josephine, but you didn’t even notice that the words on the confession wall were not Josephine’s, but mine. And that silhouette photo, it’s not Josephine, it’s me.”
“Your love, shallow and ignorant, selfish and self–serving, you are not worthy of Josephine’s love.”
Tania turned around and left without looking back.

Peter stared at her back in despair with wide eyes, unable to snap out of it for a long time.
The police discovered Camila’s body parts, and the Heath family deliberately live–streamed their daughter’s abuse photos online in order to extort money from the Garrison family, while the Garrison family was busy trying to distance themselves from Peter.
The two families were fighting fiercely, with the onlookers eating melon seeds non–stop, but no one was willing to foot the bill for the businesses of these two families.
Peter’s sentence was also quickly implemented. He did not appeal, but instead waited every day like a soulless shell for the day of his execution.
He even had a slight expectation; would he be able to see Josephine
below?
He was even a little impatient.
Tania once again paid tribute to Josephine, bringing many of her favorite foods that she used to love but could no longer eat.
She smiled and wiped the photo on the tombstone.
“Josephine, Grandma said you have now been reincarnated into a good family. In this lifetime, you are loved by your parents and have a protective older brother. You will live a very happy and fulfilling life.”
“As you wished, in this lifetime, you will not encounter Peter again.”
The end.
