Ditched My Toxic Duo for a Billionaire 15

Chapter 15

“No problem. Let’s head to campus.” Aiden said with an understanding smile,

“I’m in Harvard Business School’s Finance Management program, one year ahead of you. If you need anything, just let me know.”

With that, he displayed a QR code on his phone. “Add me as a contact,”

Hazel quickly nodded and scanned the code successfully.

Aiden dropped her off at her dormitory and, along with the driver, helped carry all her luggage to her room.

Before she could refuse, he had already started unpacking for her, including making her bed.

Hazel only handled her personal clothing items–Aiden took care of everything else.

He even immediately noticed when something was missing and had someone purchase it right away.

Hazel was almost overwhelmed by the attention.

He was exceptionally considerate.

Watching Aiden’s busy silhouette, Hazel had the strange feeling that he truly was her boyfriend.

But she quickly snapped out of it.

After the painful lessons with Julian and Maverick, she was reluctant to open her heart again.

This arrangement was perfectly fine as it was.

“Thank you so much for today, Aiden. I’ll treat you to dinner sometime to repay you.” She thanked him politely.

Aiden sensed her distance and chuckled softly, responding with a simple “Okay.”

By the time Hazel finally fell into a deep sleep in her bed, Julian and Maverick were wide awake at Stanford, unable to rest.

Without Hazel, everything at Stanford seemed to have lost its appeal.

Julian declined all class activities with evident disinterest.

Standing on his balcony, he called his father:

“Dad, I want to transfer to Harvard.”

There was a long pause on the other end before his father’s angry voice erupted.

“Julian Blackwell, have you lost your mind? College isn’t high school–you can’t just go wherever you please. Don’t be naive. I won’t allow it,”

“You know that with the Blackwell family’s status, your every move must be carefully considered. Don’t even mention

transferring unless you want to drop out and retake the SATS.”

With that, the call ended abruptly.

Mr. Blackwell didn’t care what Julian chose, as long as he didn’t use the family’s influence to manipulate the system.

If it were within the same city or state, perhaps, but Harvard was too far–even the Blackwell family’s influence had its limits.

Julian had expected this response.

He wasn’t disappointed.

The call wasn’t a request for permission but merely a notification.

Simultaneously, Maverick faced a similar situation.

His father berated him furiously:

“Maverick Stone, do you think you’re a toddler? Today you want this, tomorrow you want that.”

“College isn’t a joke. With your lackadaisical attitude, getting into Stanford was already a miracle from our prayers. Your mother and I absolutely refuse.”

“I know you two want to follow Hazel to Harvard, but that’s not happening! She went that far specifically to get away from you! Accept it. The Stone family won’t help you with this. If you’re that determined, figure it out yourself, but don’t come to us.”

Maverick’s eyes darkened, but he remained silent.

Which university they attended made little difference to them.

They had believed Hazel loved Stanford, which was why they’d taken her to visit the campus and made their pact to attend together.

They never imagined she would change her plans so drastically just to escape them.
