“Please, we all know your girl can keep you from us.” Cyrus reminds me and yes, it’s true. Ayla could probably shield before I got to them, but I don’t want her to tug out of panic and kill us all either.
“We need to talk, the four of us. Ayla told me that Raven is gifted, even though it’s different reasons, it’s still a gift. I state calming Ronan down.

“You knew about it and didn’t tell me?” I ask Cyrus, confused that he wouldn’t share that type of information with me.
“Im a mated shifter now Thane. Would you tell a secret if Ayla asked you to keep it?” I don’t have to answer. He already knows I would keep it for life.
“You are not mated.” Raven chimes in.
“Yet.” Cyrus and Ayla state in unison. Raven shakes her head, rolling her eyes at both of them.
“We are getting off track. Raven, it is incredibly important that you keep that gift as hidden as possible. We don’t know where Mikhail is or who is working for him. We know that he probably knows where Ayla is. It wouldn’t be a stretch that he would think you are here too. We need you and Ayla training your giftings as secretly as we can. We don’t know where this fight will happen, but at some point, it will happen. If it is here, I want you two prepared.”
“I agreed already to stay and help Ayla with her revenge tour. We have more stuff to burn.” Raven smiles eerily I might add as I see the same smile mirrored on the face of her mate

“Maybe. Do I get to use lethal force if necessary?” Raven levels her gaze at me, an alpha awaiting an order.
“Ves.” I answer
“Do I get to deem whether it is necessary or not? Raven asked.
“Yes.” I answer, already tired of this back–and–forth hit, but I won’t lie, she is growing on me.
“Do I have to wear a uniform?” Raven sits up straighter in her seat.
“No.” I answer.

Do I get access to the weapons room?” she asks, and I hear Cyrus groan, closing his eyes. I don’t even want to unpack that.
“Yes,” Lanswer while mind–linking Tyler to set her up for access to the armory but also to pay attention to her coming and going and providing me with a report of it. Not that I don’t trust her but…I am concerned she will murder Cyrus at this point.
“What are your terms? Raven asks…
Smart. I want you to be a pack member. We have the ceremony and introduce you to the pack. You also will train with Cyrus and whoever he deems necessary when you aren’t with Ayla. Your primary concern will be her safety and well–being and the pup within her. I am trusting you with my life.”
“Fine. I will do it. I will stay. But I need you to do something for me?” Raven asks, her mood switching to more subdued. Cyrus feels the shift and sits up straighter, studying his mate more.
“I know that Alpha Stevens has ties to the ring or someone around him does. Even if it isn’t him with the ties, he still sold me to them, and I want my revenge for that.” Her statement brings a smile to my face. She’s perfect for Cyrus. She just needs to see it.
“As I already told Cyrus, Stevens and his son are yours and his to do whatever you please with after we find out his involvement in the ring. Just leave me out of it. I will handle it on my end if it comes to that.”
Cyrus laughs and I know he is planning his torture of Alpha Stevens in his head.
“This won’t cause a pack war, me getting revenge?” Raven asks me but I know what answer she wants before I give it to her.
“I don’t care. The alliance with his is void for all I care. Just let me get the intel first, then you and Cyrus can go on your little murder spree.” I waved my hand at them.
Raven turns and looks at Cyrus. His gaze has been locked on her profile for some time now. She turns back to me with a steeliness to her eyes that could cause fear in any alpha
“In looking forward to all of this.” Cyrus states, wiggling his eyebrows.
“Me too.” Ayla agrees and reach over and squeeze her hand.

Il of this needs to gel wrapped up preferably before the pup is born.” I suggest and we all nod in agreement, a low lingering fear present that we may not. I also know that I still have a internal threat that i haven’t mentioned yet. He or she remains low and hasn’t made any moves in a while. This ceremony could stir he/she up to strike again.
“We will plan the ceremony for tonight. I have some things to say to the pack.”
