“W–what?!” Narissa’s words once again infuriated Dario. Gripping his new cane, he took several deep breaths before finally calming down. “You little brat! If you keep ignoring the family rules, get the hell out of the house!”
With that, he stormed off in a huff.
Left behind were Mr. and Mrs. Everton, their worried gazes fixed on Narissa.
Cressida, on the other hand, lifted her chin at Narissa smugly before turning to go inside.
“Narissa, dear…” Amanda walked over. “Just try to listen to your grandpa a bit more from now on, okay?
“Don’t argue with him–at least pretend to agree. Deep down, he’s not that bad.
“If he really didn’t care about you, he wouldn’t even bother with the curfew.”
Since it was her mom speaking, Narissa played along. “Okay.”
Coming home early was fine, but sneaking out afterward? Piece of cake. After all, no one said she couldn’t slip out unnoticed.
If she could waltz in and out of presidential palaces around the world like it was nothing, a measly Everton family was child’s play.
Seeing Narissa finally nod obediently, Amanda sighed in relief. Yet little did she know what exactly her daughter was plotting.

Nothing else happened that night.
The next day, when Narissa went to Regality Academy, the training instructor still gave her a private tutoring session as
usual.
This time, it wasn’t just about teaching her etiquette–he also took the opportunity to break down the power dynamics of Sinney’s elite circles.
The goal was to make sure Narissa didn’t accidentally offend any big shots.
After all, Sinney was packed with wealthy families, and there were plenty of deep–rooted, influential clans. If she really ticked off the wrong person, even the Everton family might not be able to protect her.
“This is what I wanted to tell you. Right now, the Everton family is considered a top–tier family in Sinney, but above you, there are still the four noble families–and the most mysterious, reclusive family of all, the Harlow family.
“I’ve already compiled and sent you profiles of the active members from the four families. Make sure to read them and avoid crossing them at all costs,” the instructor added.
Narissa took the documents and casually flipped through a couple of pages. “What about the Harlow family?”
She wasn’t really interested in the so–called four families. Sure, they were massive, with top–tier influence and resources, and the Everton family definitely shouldn’t mess with them.

But she didn’t care much about them.
What really piqued her interest was the Harlow family.

After all, they raised a War God like Bastien. Now that was a family worth scoping out.
“As for the Harlow family, no one knows just how big their business empire is. All we know is that their connections span the entire globe. They’re the one family you absolutely cannot afford to provoke,” the instructor replied.
“No info on the Harlow family?” Narissa raised an eyebrow.
She’d already skimmed through the documents.
Her memory was sharp–just flipping through a few pages was enough for her to memorize the four families, most of the city’s elite clans, and the list of their active members.
But there was nothing on the Harlow family.
“The Harlow family never shows their faces in public. They always use proxies to handle their business and affairs, so getting firsthand intel on them is nearly impossible,” the instructor stated objectively.
“Oh, but there’s one person from the Harlow family I’m sure you’ve heard of–he’s the strongest warrior in our nation, even the whole world–the War God, Bastien.
“He’s the man countless women dream of getting close to. But here in Sinney, everyone just fantasizes from afar.
“No woman dares to get too close to him because the girls who’ve deliberately tried to approach him… well, let’s just say their endings weren’t great.”
The instructor trailed off, then glanced at Narissa–who was especially stunning–with a meaningful look.
“In short, Bastien is absolutely the man you don’t wanna mess with in the entire Sinney.
“You could even mess with the four families, but not him-‘cause he’s way scarier than them.
“Got it?” The teacher blinked at Narissa like he was coaxing a kid, his tone honey–sweet.
“Yeah, I got it.” Narissa nodded, playing the obedient act.
It was too late. She’d already messed with him.
Not just messed with–she’d provoked, teased, and now had Bastien hunting her down worldwide.
Talk about playing with fire.
Of course, she couldn’t exactly tell the teacher that.
After etiquette class came combat training. Luckily, it was mostly theory. The instructor jumped right into explaining techniques, occasionally demo–ing moves in front of the class.
The whole thing had Narissa yawning like a sleepy cat.
“Class, check this out. This is a hook punch in combat. Gotta be fast, sharp, and precise, with all your power in the arm. Like

this…”
Thankfully, class eventually ended.
The second it was over, Narissa bolted out.
If she stayed any longer, she’d have dozed off.
“Narissa, you done? We’re heading out to hang. Wanna come?” Jaylen showed up with his crew, clearly treating her like their ride–or–die after what happened at the racetrack.
Today, they’d even made a special trip to invite her.
But to the clueless bystanders? Mindblown.
Jaylen was famously chill–gentlemanly, polite–but he kept serious boundaries. Most people couldn’t get close.
Especially girls.
Even some famous beauty like Cressida only got his polite distance.
But now?
How long had it been? What did Narissa even do to make Jaylen seek her out after class? And invite her out?
This was legit breaking news, a miracle in Regality Academy.
