While everyone on the ship was still buzzing about her, Narissa had already found a new place to crash. She still had three days left on the island, and she planned to enjoy every minute of it.
Meanwhile, Cressida’s group stuck together, but they often didn’t have enough to eat.
They didn’t run into any wild animals, but they spent most of their time dodging the trainers Regality Academy had sent to the island.
Narissa didn’t worry about any of that. She used her survival skills to build a simple treehouse out of branches and vines. She spent her days sleeping and hunting.
The island was full of
Same. She caught whatever crossed her path–wild chickens, snakes, even scorpions.
When she got thirsty, she drank dew. For fun, she snacked on wild berries.
What felt like hell for everyone el
was basically a vacation for her.
“Man, I haven’t had a break this nice in forever,” Narissa said, stretching lazily. “This is exactly what I needed. Next time, I’ll bring Octopus and the others.”
She glanced up at the sun–it was time to head to the meeting point.
The tiger she had knocked out earlier finally woke up on the third day. The moment it saw her, it took off running with its tail between its legs, scared it
qght end up on her dinner plate.
Narissa shrugged. “What’s the rush? I wasn’t actually gonna eat you, though tiger meat might be kinda tasty.”
She licked her lips but quickly dropped the idea. Eating a whole tiger by herself would draw too much attention.
Sinney City was Bastien’s turf, and she didn’t want to cause a scene. She figured she’d save the tiger feast for another time.
Narissa strolled back to the meeting point alone, completely at ease–unlike the rest of the students.
The trainers had been chasing them nonstop, scaring the hell out of them all the way there.
As soon as they spotted the security team and teachers waiting at the end, some of the more sensitive students just sat down. and cried.
The last three days had been a nightmare. Some of them had honestly thought they were gonna die out there.
“Sir, do you have any food? I’m starving,” one student asked weakly.
“Please, water, anything,” another begged.
Those who could still move rushed toward the teachers, desperate for supplies. They couldn’t take another minute of it.
Thankfully, the teachers had come prepared with soft, easy–to–digest food. But the moment they brought it out, the students lost it–grabbing and pushing like a pack of wild animals. It almost turned into a stampede.
Only a few, like Cressida and her close friends, held themselves back and tried to stay composed.

Chapter 54
They’d gone through hell, and if it hadn’t been for Jaylen and the others sharing their food, some of them might not have made it.
However, Narissa looked like she’d been on vacation.
To them, she was just the spoiled rich girl the Everton family had recently dragged out of nowhere.
“Cheater! Cheater!” Miranda shouted. She hated Narissa more than anyone. She led the others as they crowded around the teachers. “We want answers!”
But the teachers were just as confused. One of them walked up to Narissa, looking her over carefully–not a single scratch, not even a speck of dirt. That couldn’t be right.”
He quickly turned to the trainers and asked if they had forgotten to include Narissa in the training exercises.
But the trainers were just as lost. They looked at Narissa, scratching their heads. None of them recognized her.
Then one of them muttered, “Wait. Could she be the one who took out the tiger and beat us up?”
The second he said it, everyone turned to look at Narissa–eyes wide, jaws dropping, completely stunned.
Chapter 54
Jaylen, Gilbert, and some others were in better shape than most. They were hungry, but they still had some self–control.
“I can’t do this anymore, Cressida. Let’s go get some food. I’m starving,” Miranda whispered, her face pale after just three days.
Cressida didn’t look much better. Her face was as white as a sheet. She stared at the food and swallowed hard.
But she forced herself to stay calm. She was a real rich girl–an Everton–and she couldn’t let anyone see her fighting over food like some stray dog. That’d be way too embarrassing.
To distract herself, she looked around–but Narissa was nowhere to be seen. Panic set in.
She quickly ran up to a teacher. “Is everyone here yet?”
“We haven’t done roll call, so we’re not sure,” the teacher replied.
“Narissa’s not here,” Cressida said anxiously. “She might still be in the forest. We need to send someone to look for her.”
Even though she didn’t get along with Narissa, they were still twins. She couldn’t just pretend not to care. If something really happened to Narissa, she had no idea how devastated their parents would be.
“What?” the teacher said, alarmed. “I’ll send security and trainers to search for her right away.”
Whatever, no one wanted to mess things up with the powerful Everton family.
But just as the search team was about to head out, someone came walking calmly out of the forest.
“It’s Narissa!” Gilbert shouted, eyes lighting up.
Jaylen and the others let out a breath of relief.
“I’ll grab her something to eat–she must be starving,” Jaylen said, running off to grab two pieces of bread.
Narissa strolled up to the group, looking totally unfazed.
Instead of looking beat–up or worn out like the others, she looked fine. Her cheeks were rosy, her steps steady. If anything, she looked better than when she first got to the island.
Everyone stared, confused. ‘Did she sneak in supplies or something?‘ they thought.
Cressida had been worried sick–but the moment she saw how well Narissa looked, her worry turned into anger.
She stormed over. “Narissa, what’s going on? Did you stash food for yourself?”
She couldn’t help it–Narissa didn’t look like she’d struggled at all. Her clothes weren’t even dirty.
“She cheated,” one student said.
“Yeah! Why did we have to suffer while she’s standing here like she just came back from a spa?” another grumbled.
“There’s no way this is fair. Did the Everton family pay you off?” someone else shouted at the teachers.
The students who had nearly starved over the past three days were burning with jealousy.
