Chapter 5
My finger was still enveloped in Reed’s warm mouth.[]
Startled, I quickly withdrew it and turned to look at Gabriel in the doorway.[]
Gabriel strode forward and yanked me behind him:[]
“Reed, Mila is my girlfriend!“[]
Only then did I notice that Gabriel was also carrying a strawberry cupcake.[]
So I hurriedly tugged at his sleeve:[]
“I’m sorry, Gabriel. I mistook him for you. I thought…“[]
As I spoke, my eyes darted to the already unwrapped cupcake.[]
I continued, feeling increasingly guilty, hanging my head in remorse.[]
“Don’t blame Mila. She just fed me a bit of strawberry frosting.” Reed said coldly, giving me a glance.
Gabriel pressed his lips together, his expression softening slightly: “Fine, I misunderstood.“]]
After Reed left, Gabriel threw his brother’s cupcake into the trash.]
Then he turned and pressed me against the wall: “Don’t eat anything Reed buys you in the future, or I’ll get jealous!“]
I inwardly scoffed. He was the one who schemed to have Reed sleep with me.]]
What right did he have to act possessive now?]
And hadn’t he spent the night with Penelope?]
Where did this absurd possessiveness come from?
Despite these thoughts, I outwardly appeared submissive: “I see…“]]
Gabriel stared at me for a moment, apparently finding my submissive demeanor appealing, and leaned down to kiss me.
I suddenly clenched my fist.]
Since learning his true nature, every intimate moment with him made me feel physically ill.[]
Ugh!
I finally couldn’t suppress my physical reaction and covered my mouth, rushing to the nearby bathroom.[]
I expected Gabriel to be angry when I returned.
Surprisingly, he was in good spirits, solicitously helping me sit down and asking if I felt unwell anywhere else.[]
I noticed the gleam of excitement in his eyes.
Inwardly, I laughed at how impatient he was, forgetting even basic physiological knowledge.[]
“No.., maybe just an upset stomach!“]
Gabriel seemed to realize his mistake, looking at me with disappointment:[]
“I remember your ovulation day is the 7th, right?”

pretended not to understand, nodding: “Yes, why? I’m warning you, I’m still in college and not planning to have a baby…”
Gabriel captured my hand, holding it in his: “I understand, but if there’s an accident, it would be best to keep it.“]
He had always been domineering, brooking no refusal.[]
Just like when he pursued me–I hadn’t wanted to accept, but his men dragged me to a rooftop, threatening to throw me off if I didn’t agree.[]
I knew they meant it. Because the entire school had been donated by the West family. Even if I died, they’d claim I committed suicide and at most pay my parents some compensation.[
That money was insignificant to him, but it would have cost me my life.]
So I nestled in his arms and asked: “If I get pregnant, will you marry me?“|
Gabriel hesitated briefly before assuring me: “Yes, of course. You’re the only woman I’ll ever marry.”
He would indeed marry me.[]
But after marriage, he wouldn’t be able to reconcile his own internal conflict. He would unleash all his anger and frustration on me.
But unfortunately for him, I won’t let history repeat itself this time!]]
e.]
That evening, Gabriel pressed me against the bed as soon as I emerged from the shower, seemingly desperate to prove something to me.]
His breathing was heavy, his tone urgent: “Mila, let’s try again. You can compare if I’m better tonight or last night!“]]
My heart suddenly tightened.]]
A sense of impending disaster washed over me.

Gabriel got off me and began undressing.
I watched his rapidly exposed body with my heart in my throat.[]
Just as he was about to unbuckle his belt, a knock came at the door.
“Gabriel, why’d you leave your phone in the study? Grandfather’s calling. Better pick up right away!” [
Reed’s steady voice carried through the door.
