I’d been shackled to a werewolf by a magical contract for five freaking years, and I never gave the dude a single genuine thought.
I thought he was a brute, a control freak, and about as emotionally available as a brick wall.
But after I bit the dust, he crushed the soul of the bastard who killed me with his bare hands.
Then, in his wolf form, he curled up on my
grave and offed himself.
I blinked, and bam! I was back to the day we
signed the damn contract.
“If you can’t stand me, if you’re still hung up
on that fox…”
Before he could finish his pathetic speech, I had my arms around his neck.
