The two circled each other, all of us not believing our eyes as we watched how foolish Stacy was being. It wasn’t like I was cheering her on, hell no, but the fact she was denying the clearly instinctual urge to submit to the female alpha meant that it was suicide, she didn’t stand a chance but that didn’t mean I worried any less for my mates safety like any male wouldn’t.
Stacy tried to take my mate by surprise, but anyone could see that Zoe was prepared for it. I mean even the females of the pack cringed slightly when Stacy made her move out of reflex, knowing what a foolish decision it was going to be on her part. So as soon as Stacy leapt for my mate she soon found my Zoe’s teeth firmly imbedded in her neck, all of us cringing as our sensitive hearing picked up the crunching sound as Zoe held nothing back as she attacked her own sister as if she was a stranger. I guess she was if I thought about it, making sure to block my thoughts from the pack as I realised that all Zoe had been through the only family she actually considered to be one was Jack
With that thought I knew she wouldn’t care if she killed Stacy, and by the way everyone was backing away as she threw Stacy’s now limp wolf around as if she was nothing it was clear that was exactly what she was going to do if I didn’t stop her.
Feeling my wolf release the command after my realisation, my wolf now purring at the thought of my mate being a shifter as I sprinted quickly across the field towards my mate who picked up on the movement instantly. Good girl I thought with pride, such a talented and protective wolf.
Letting go of Stacy’s neck her body hit the ground with a thump, the pack doctor standing nervously at the side along with the school staff as everyone was still in shock over what they had just discovered. My mate had hid her wolf so easily, so efficiently that I couldn’t help but be both annoyed and impressed as I trotted over to her to make sure she didn’t see me as a threat. She didn’t thankfully, my form stopping just in front of hers as my large black wolf contrasted amazingly against hers as I bend my head down slightly to bump my muzzle against her bloody one.
I whined slightly when she backed away from me, her large emerald eyes wide with what looked like fear as she stumbled back on her legs. It was a sharp contrast to what her previous gracefully and calculated moves had been when she had taken down Stacy with such viciousness that I couldn’t help but find it arousing
“We have to get her away from Stacy mate, I may hate the girl but do you really want to deal with the consequences of her death right now? Collins voice filtered into my head, the others having phased but Collin as my beta had resisted the urge to appear near his mates side to do his job. It was why I choose him as beta, a decision I would never regret.
“Aw thanks mate, I’m touched his thoughts hit me causing me to shake my head at his amused tone, but he was right I didn’t want to deal with the consequences which would come if Stacy died. Turning back to my angel I took note that she had relaxed, her large wolf head tilted to the left as she seemed to be studying me in detail. Unfortunately I wouldn’t be able to hear her in my head until I had mated with her, again hopefully I wouldn’t have to wait long
Barking at her I approached her playfully, wagging my tail to show how happy I am that she could phase even if I was hurt that she had kept it from me. I could understand why of course, hell not even her brother knew since if he did he would have told me when I had alpha ordered what seemed like ages ago. Hopefully she would trust me to tell me about herself, my hopes only increasing now we had a female shifter that I could trust! I knew my mate was amazing, but this was just incredible!
