That included my own parents, my brother,” she paused to laugh humorlessly, “And the Alpha’s son, or I guess he is the Alpha now if my brother is the official Beta.” She paused again. “Alpha Cameron and his chosen Beta and Third bullied me the most. On his birthday-” She cut herself off by screaming.
“Make it stop! Make it STOP!” She screamed, curling into a ball.
Likely hearing her scream, the doctor ram in. “What happened?” He asked.
James and Stephen shrugged. I responded, “She was telling us how she ended up here and then randomly began screaming ”
Doctor Phillip walked up to her and touched her stomach, “There’s no baby and her stomach isn’t tensed so it’s not a miscarriage or internal bleeding. Does sh-” He was cut off by another scream.
He mind–linked us in the room instead, Does she have a mate?
I cautiously walked up to her, “We don’t know yet. Do you have a mate?”
With tears in her eyes, she nodded, “I–it was Alpha Cameron.”
“Was?” I questioned.
“He rejected me,” she responded, her screaming subsided but she was still in pain.
I noticed the doctor injecting her with something, I looked at him questioningly.
“It’s a sedative, it won’t help with the pain, but it’ll put her to sleep until it passes,” he said.
She fell asleep still curled in a ball and we left the room. “Doctor, what was that?”
He sighed, “I’ve only seen it a few times, it happens when a mate is rejected. It means that her mate has mated with someone else.”
“Thank you, doctor,” I dismissed him.
I motioned for the other two to join me in my office. I sat down in my chair as the other two sat on the couches. I ran my hand through my hair for the hundredth time today.
Stephen spoke up, “What are you going to do with her?”
I sighed, “Well, she’s not a dangerous rogue so I won’t kill her. Normally, I would have to send her back to her pack as a runaway, but I can’t justify that after what she’s been through…” I drifted off.
“What if you ask her to join?” Stephen suggests
“What he said,” James popped in.
“Okay, sounds fine to me.” I smiled.
Now just hopefully she accepts.
Cameron’s POV
I laid in bed, cuddling with Courtney, Courtney is the new Luna of the Blood Moon pack, my chosen mate. Sure, I was still upset that Sapphire left but my park needed a Luna Courtney would make a way better Luna, as she’s strong, fearless, and beautiful.
Jesse has been spending hours in Sapphire’s room, believing she’ll come back. They still don’t know that she’s my real mate. And they never will.
