“But if you’re not sincere about it, even God can’t help you.“[]
Mrs. Windsor nodded frantically. “Tell us! We’ll do anything–we’re totally committed!“[]
Mr. Windsor got excited too. “If you can save my son, you’ll be our family’s savior!“[]
“Three hundred years ago, your ancestor pissed off the spirits at the Witch Tower, and that’s why your family has been cursed for generations.“[]
“If Ace kneels in that tower and sincerely repents for three days and three nights, he’ll get a six–month window. During those six months, if he finds a woman with the sacred bloodline to marry, the curse will be broken.“[]
The Windsors were overjoyed. “We’ll go right now!“]]
But Ace screamed at my back:[]
“Nora Williams, you want me to kneel to those dead witches? You’re fucking heartless!“[]
“You’re obviously trying to kill me! If you had just agreed to marry me, none of this would’ve happened!“[]
I turned around with a mocking smile.]
“Ace, I may be heartless, but I never tied you to a helicopter like a kite and let you splatter into a pile of flesh.“[]
He froze, then his eyes filled with tears.[]
“So this is your revenge…”
I ignored him and walked away with Howard.[]
After hearing that Ace might still be saved, my parents dragged Noelle to the Witch Tower.]
But like I said, only Ace could enter the tower to kneel.[]
The Windsors blocked them from going in, so they had to kneel outside the tower.[]
After a day and night, my parents couldn’t take it anymore. They made up some excuse about going to church to pray for Ace and ran off.[]
The Windsors also left overnight to visit a new woman with the sacred bloodline they’d found.[]
Only Noelle was left kneeling in front of the tower.[]
She was too scared, so she snuck into the Witch Tower in the dark to find Ace.[]

At first, Ace didn’t want to deal with her, but after a day and night of constant repenting, he was parched and starving.]
“Go find me some water and food.“]
But Noelle just lay down beside him and whined:[]
“They drove off with the car and didn’t leave us anything…”
Ace felt rage boiling up inside him, but then he remembered what I’d said.[]
He had to keep repenting. As he kept going, he literally wanted to slap himself silly.]
I’d flat out told him this time that Noelle was useless, so why the fuck did he have to be so stubborn and fight me?[]
He’d said all those horrible things to me, and even let my parents strip my clothes off and beat me.[]
I must fucking hate his guts now, which is why I wasn’t insisting on marrying him like in our past life.[]

His mind drifted back to our previous life.[]
On our wedding night, he was too disgusted to touch me, but I’d wrapped my arms around him in that see–through lingerie:[]
“Honey, trust me. I’m really the only one who can save you…”
That night I’d been so soft and willing, ready to give him everything.[]
But after Noelle killed herself, he’d treated me like garbage–had me strung up under a helicopter and personally cut the rope, watching me fall to my death.[]
Wait a minute! If Noelle was as promiscuous as I’d said, there’s no way she would’ve killed herself over him![]
So why did she leave that suicide note blaming me?
Unless… she did it on purpose![]
The more Ace thought about it, the more wrong everything seemed. His heart was pounding, blood rushing to his head.[]
He shook Noelle awake roughly.[]
