Chapter 14
Laurel, who had received the message, quickly jumped up from the bed. She accidentally bumped her foot against the edge of the bed, causing her to tremble in pain. The loud noise startled Grace, who hurriedly rushed over to check on her.
Grace reluctantly helped the person squatting at the foot of the bed, saying, “How old are you and you still have sticky hands and feet?”
Laurel’s eyes filled with tears of pain as she handed her phone to Grace, unable to speak, asking her to take a look.
The message suddenly caught Grace’s eye.
His eyes blinked slightly, “I won’t go.”
The next piece of information popped up immediately after.
“Don’t say she can’t come yet. I have already invested in the fashion show she is going to participate in, and I am one of the organizers.”
Grace squinted her eyes, and Laurel turned her phone around to take a glance when she heard the sound.
Frustrated, he angrily threw the phone onto the bed.
“This scoundrel, he actually dared to threaten you?”
I put my hands on Grace’s shoulders and said, “Don’t be afraid, I’ll accompany you. I won’t let him bully you.”
Grace laughed at her frizzy hair and said, “Weren’t you the plane

tonight?”
Laurel instantly ceased all activities.
Grace pulled her hands, which were resting on her shoulders, and held them in her own hands. “Don’t worry, nothing will happen. I no longer love him, and the things that happened before will not happen again. Besides, since he has come, it’s good to have a conversation.”
Laurel nodded helplessly.
Grace picked up Laurel’s phone and asked for the meeting address.
In no time, the address of a coffee shop was sent over.
After Grace entrusted Isabella to the neighbor and sent Laurel on the plane, she arrived at the agreed location.
Antonio had been waiting for a long time when he saw Grace come in, and he quickly moved a chair for her.
Grace avoided him and walked straight to the opposite side, pulling out a chair and sitting down.
Antonio’s eyes dimmed for a moment, but he quickly regained his composure and sat back down.
I pushed the coffee in front of me forward: “This is for you, your favorite cappuccino with milk and sugar.”
Grace glanced at the coffee handed to her: “I haven’t liked it for a long time,” and asked the barista to bring her a cup of Americano again.
Antonio awkwardly didn’t know where to hide his outstretched hand.
“What’s the matter, just say it,” Grace was too lazy to watch him play this

kind of drama, and went straight to the point.
Antonio straightened his body.
“I agreed to get divorced.”
Grace seemed surprised, raising an eyebrow as she glanced at him.
“But I must explain to you clearly, I did not cheat on you, I really had nothing with Natalie. I was just at the hospital to accompany her because her brother couldn’t come, please trust me, and going on a trip was only because she said she was feeling down and wanted to go out for a walk. She seemed to have symptoms of depression, and I was worried… And. also, every time I didn’t go out alone with her, it was always with my brothers and their group…”
Antonio explained everything clearly, then stared at Grace with anticipation in his eyes.
Grace listened and looked at him calmly, “Antonio, do you think emotional infidelity doesn’t count as cheating?”
Antonio was about to refute that he didn’t, but then he lowered his head, realizing the consequences of his actions.
Grace continued, “I have received what you said. Is there anything else? If not, I will leave.”
As she was about to get up and leave, Antonio quickly grabbed her and pushed her back into her seat.
“I admit it was all my fault before, and I apologize to you.”
Grace found it funny, but Antonio quickly continued speaking before she could say anything.

“I don’t expect forgiveness either, I know I don’t have the face to ask for your forgiveness, but I want to say that I really can’t be without you, so I have decided to pursue you again. Of course, you don’t have to feel any psychological burden, everything is my choice, and I will bear all the consequences myself.”
Grace looked at him helplessly and said, “You didn’t need me, you just needed a free babysitter, and I excelled on this track.”
“No, I really loved you. In the future, I will do all the household chores, I will be the free babysitter.”
Grace couldn’t communicate with him and left a sentence asking him not. to waste his efforts, as they were already impossible, and then she got up and left.
Before leaving, I warned myself not to see him, not to appear in front of her.
Antonio sat in a daze for a long time after she left. He looked at his carefully put–together outfit for the day, but the disappointment in his eyes couldn’t be hidden. He had worn the tie she liked the most and dressed in the outfit she loved the most,
But Grace didn’t even look at him. Clearly, in the past, whenever he wore this outfit, she would smile and compliment him on how handsome he looked.
Quietly tidying up his mood, Antonio encouraged himself. It had just begun, the journey to win back his wife was long and full of obstacles, but it was nothing serious. He had to go back and sort out the entanglement between himself and Natalie first.
