Chapter 20
A few people strolled through the streets of Canada, entering this shop and that shop, before long, they were already carrying a bunch of things in their hands.
Laurel looked at the energetic little bundle running ahead and the three people who showed no signs of fatigue, and lamented in her heart, “Is this family’s stamina genetic?”
She was already so tired that she was out of breath, and if it weren’t for looking a bit unsightly, she just wanted to sit on the ground.
Grace turned her head and saw herself laughing so hard that she bent over, then walked over and took the things in her hand and held them in her own hand.
“I told you to exercise regularly, but you didn’t listen. Just look at how tired you are from simply walking around the street.”
Laurel was already panting and couldn’t say a complete sentence: “It’s obvious… it’s you guys… with such incredible stamina, right?”
Grace shook her head and smiled, pulling her forward.
In the evening, everyone had finally finished strolling and was ready to go home.
Seeing everyone’s hands raised high, the crowd decisively gave up on taking public transportation and prepared to hail a taxi home.
It could be because of Christmas, or it could be because everyone wants to go home.

Chapter 20
I waited for half an hour but couldn’t catch a taxi.
Just as several people were feeling helpless.
A car stopped in front of the crowd, and the car window slowly rolled down, revealing Antonio’s face.
“It was difficult to catch a taxi at this spot, let me take you back.”
“No, thank you,” Grace refused without hesitation.
Antonio did not get angry nor leave, he just sat in the car and waited, Grace also did not look at him, she continued to flag down cars.
Just as the two sides were deadlocked, a loud noise cut through the sky.
Raindrops poured down from the sky without any warning.
Antonio quickly got off the car and took the things from several people’s hands and put them in the trunk.
Several people quickly got into the car to take shelter from the rain.
But the rain was so heavy that even in just a short while, I was already completely drenched.
Finally, a few people got off the car, looking like drowned rats.
The scene, no matter how you look at it, was hilarious.
Everyone rushed into the house and hurriedly changed their clothes and took a shower.
Antonio helped to bring all the things into the house and was about to
turn around and leave.

Grace called out to him, “Today, thank you.”
Antonio’s lips curled into a bitter smile, “No need to thank me.”
Grace looked at Antonio, who was drenched with water, and said, “I cooked Corn Chowder, you can have a bowl later.”
Antonio’s eyes brightened, and he quickly nodded.
Grace said and then turned around to go about her business, leaving Antonio restless on the couch.

Jeffrey and Joanna sat down in the living room and started chatting after changing their clothes, completely ignoring Antonio. He tried to interject a few times, but no one paid him any attention, which made him even more embarrassed and uncomfortable.
My hands were so sore that they were about to fall off.
The Corn Chowder was ready, and Grace served them each a bowl.
After gulping it down, Antonio fled in panic.
When he ran to his own room, he took a long breath and finally could feel his own breath again.
Upon further reflection, a bitter taste filled my heart, as the Corn Chowder I had just consumed had a hint of bitterness.
That was clearly his home, and they had experienced the same scene countless times just now.
But now, he was a complete outsider, even standing with them was uncomfortable.
His heart felt as if it had been torn apart by a thousand knives, the pain

making it difficult for him to catch his breath. He crouched on the ground, tightly clutching his chest.

Tears, like a broken kite, couldn’t be stopped, falling one by one from the face.
He felt for the first time that he couldn’t go back to the past, no matter how hard he tried.
