Chapter 6
I didn’t expect the divorce to go so well.
Thanks to Natalie, Antonio signed the divorce papers so quickly.
I took a deep breath and put away the papers. Then, I left.
At the villa’s door, I sent Antonio a message to tell him I would go to my parent’s place for Isabella.
Meanwhile, I saw the countdown clock. There were 19 days left.
Soon, there would be only Isabella and me.
In the hospital.
Purchase completed
I was about to get into the elevator when someone called my name.
It was Antonio’s business partner’s wife. She looked at me in surprise. “Mrs. Kaufman, are you ill? Where’s Mr. Kaufman? He loves you so much. Why didn’t he come with you?”
I answered with a smile, “It’s just a physical examination. I can do it on my own.”
The woman nodded. “It makes sense. Mr. Kaufman should be preparing the dinner party. You’ll be the most gorgeous couple tomorrow night.”
I was confused.
But then I realized that Antonio would throw a party but didn’t plan to take me along.

I responded calmly, “I’m flattered. You and Mr. Keith are a great couple too. Then see you tomorrow night at…”
I smiled with embarrassment. “It slipped my mind. Can you remind me where it is?”
The woman answered with a smile, “Hilton Hotel.”
I nodded. “Right. I remembered. See you tomorrow night.”
She nodded with a smile and left.
I watched them walk away, wiped the smile off my face, and walked into Isabella’s ward.
At 6 pm the next day.
Generally, parties began at 6. I went to the hotel in advance and waited outside until most of the guests arrived.
A wine steward opened the hall’s door for me, and I saw many businessmen talking and drinking.
The hall quieted down when I showed up.
Antonio and Natalie were standing in the center of the crowd like a golden couple. One of them looked shocked, and the other looked angry.
I pretended not to notice their expressions and walked over with a smile. Then, I held out my hand. “Natalie, it’s been a long time.
“But why are you here?”
Natalie glared at me.
But she could only shake hands with me while so many people were

watching. Meanwhile, she failed to give any explanation.
It was getting more awkward, and Antonio lightened the mood.
He wrapped his arm around my shoulders and said, “Everyone, this is Grace Parrish, my wife.”
I saw Natalie’s face flush with rage.
Then, I took my eyes off her calmly and nodded with a smile.
After chatting with everyone, Antonio pulled me to an empty corridor and explained, “Honey, I thought you were busy with Bella, so I brought Natalie with me.”
In fact, I didn’t care about that at all.
After all, I had a signed divorce agreement.
I was here only to get back at Natalie.
But I still asked, “What did she come as?”
Antonio looked away with guilt. After a while, he answered, “I hired her as my secretary.”
I gave a faint smile and turned around to leave.
Antonio grabbed my arm. “Grace, I can explain. Drake asked me to hire her. We’ve been best friends for so many years, and it’s just a little favor. So I couldn’t say no.”
I shook off his hand and headed away. He snapped, “Grace, when did you become so petty?”
I couldn’t believe a man who used to be full of sweet words could make

that harsh comment.
I was about to say something when my phone rang.
I answered it and heard Isaac’s husky voice.
“All the paperwork is done. You can leave anytime.”
