Chapter 7
When I heard that, my heartbeat accelerated.
I was afraid that Antonio would hear whatever he shouldn’t know, so I said “OK” and hung up.
Antonio walked over and glanced at my phone with a frown. “Who is it?”
was amused by his face.
He must suspect I was cheating too.
“It’s from my company.” I put away my phone and didn’t want to deal with him anymore. “Since it’s Drake’s request, then I have no problem.
“The party is still on. You should go back. I’m going home,” I said in a flat
tone.
Antonio was relieved.
He held my shoulders. “I knew you wouldn’t care about this trivial stuff.
“I’ll tell my driver to take you back. Be careful.”
I gave no response and left the party.
When I got out of the hotel, a breeze was blowing.
I took a deep breath in. It smelled like freedom.
On the way home, I told the caretaker that I had something to do tonight.
and needed her to take care of Isabella for me.
Chapter 7
When I got home, I opened the safe and took out the house deed.
To show his devotion, Antonio had put the house in my name only.
So it saved a lot of trouble.
I sent the house’s information to a friend and asked the friend to sell it as soon as possible.
When Antonio was back, it was past midnight.
Watching the number on the countdown clock dancing, I told him to sleep in the guestroom by using the excuse of the stink of alcohol.
I slept well that night.
The next morning, when I went downstairs after washing, I saw Antonio. walking out of the kitchen in an apron holding sandwiches and milk.
“You’re up, honey. Perfect timing. Come and have breakfast.”
It had been a long time since Antonio cooked for me. In the past, he would come back to make meals for Isabella and me no matter how busy he was.
Right after I sat down, Antonio walked over with an LV bag.
“Honey, the project is over. I asked for a week off to go to Bali with you and Bella and celebrate your birthday.
“Here is your birthday gift.”
I preferred thoughtful gifts to expensive gifts.
But an expensive gift was better than a cheap gift if it was not thoughtful.
I smiled and put the bag beside the breakfast. Then, I took a photo and posted it on Instagram, writing “Two people who truly love each other don’t need to be together all the time.”
After doing that, I put down my phone and smiled at Antonio. “Let’s eat.”
He sat down with a smile. I took a sip of the milk and counted in my mind, “Ten, night, eight…”
On the count three, Antonio’s phone rang.
As expected, Natalie’s name showed on the screen.
Antonio picked it up at once and walked away. Soon, he came back with an apologetic look. “Sorry, honey. I have to go on a business trip now…
“I promise I’ll take you to Bali after I’m back.”
He changed into a business suit as saying that. Without any explanation, he headed out.
When he was about to get out of the house, I called subconsciously, “Antonio.”
He turned to look at me. “What is it?”
I just wanted to take a final look at him.
Then, I regained my senses and shook my head calmly. “Nothing. Be careful.”
Antonio strode out without thinking about it.
The sound of him closing the door echoed in the big living room, and I kept sitting quietly. After a long time, I went to send the divorce agreement to Antonio’s company.
Chapter 7
After I dumped the breakfast and took care of all other things, I saw Natalie’s latest post.
She took a photo of Antonio checking in at an airport and wrote with joy. “I said I wanted to go traveling, so he left everything behind and took me here. This is true love.”
I gave her a thumbs–up and unfriended her.
Then, I pushed the villa’s door open with my last luggage.
My parents and Isabella, who had just been discharged, were sitting in a car outside.
I walked over with a smile and got in. Then, I held Isabella and leaned against my mom’s shoulder.
“Let’s go.”
The car drove off in the direction of the airport, and I was leaving for Canada.

Seven days later, Antonio and Natalie came back.
After he drove Natalie back to her place, he drove home with a lot of gifts.
He thought that Isabella would run into his arms and that Grace would help him take off his tie gently, so he couldn’t help but smile.
However, when he arrived, he saw several strong men moving things out.
of the villa.
He was stunned and then walked over to huff, “What are you doing? Who permitted you to get into my house?”
Chapter 7
The man who was directing other men knitted his brows. “Your house? I just bought this house.”
Then, he took out a purchase contract.
“See, I bought it for 3 million dollars. The former owner said I could
throw away anything inside.”
