She said it half joking, but Dorothy caught the meaning.]
Dorothy replied with a fake smile, “You’re overthinking it, Ms. Frazier. Mr. Lambert cares about you. Why would you still doubt his heart?“]
Sonia’s face stiffened, but she held back any abnormal reaction.[]
On the surface, Dwayne treated her well. But deep down, he’d always kept his distance.[]

Trying to stay composed, Sonia forced a smile. “Why would I doubt him? Even if I left him back then, Dwayne never forgot me. He’s been staying at my place these days, you know, having such a great time with me and Brenden.”
“Oh, and don’t let Dwayne’s cool vibe fool you. When it comes to that stuff… he’s got way too much energy. If he wasn’t being considerate, I honestly couldn’t keep up.”
