She saw Brenden run happily in the front. In the meantime, Sonia and Dwayne walked into the restaurant leisurely.
There were so many restaurants, but they picked this one![]
Sonia was wearing a bespoke purple slip dress and high heels. Her makeup was delicate. Walking side by side, she and Dwayne made a perfect couple.]
Dorothy had expected to see this but still felt hurt.
She had spent six years but was still not able to get the qualification to stand by Dwayne. But it only took Sonia half a year…]
Maybe she should have left earlier.
She should have set Dwayne free earlier.[]
Dwayne looked around and saw Tyrell and Dorothy sitting by the window. He slowed down his steps and frowned.[]
Sonia sensed something and looked in the same direction. A trace of coldness flashed across her eyes. Then, she held hands with Dwayne. “Aren’t they Dr. Acosta and Mr. Calhoun? Dwayne, are they dating? Shall we go to greet them?“]
Dorothy’s eyes met Dwayne’s.[]
Dwayne looked away calmly as if they had been strangers. He said faintly, “Let’s eat first.“[]
Sonia was smiling. She caught up with Dwayne and looked back at Dorothy.[]
Sonia was provoking Dorothy like a winner.[]
Dorothy rolled her eyes.[]
She was speechless.
“Dottie, no offense, but what’s your relationship with Mr. Lambert?”
Tyrell had wanted to ask this question for long. He could tell that there was something between Dwayne and Dorothy.
Dorothy came back to her senses and pursed her lips. “He and I…have nothing to do with each other.“]
Tyrell could tell that she was hiding something, so he didn’t ask more.
Before they separated at the restaurant gate, Dorothy suddenly said, “Tyrell, I need another favor from you. I will treat you to a meal later.“]]
Tyrell didn’t hesitate. “I’m glad to help.”
Soon after Tyrell left, Dorothy received Dwayne’s text.[]
“Come to the parking lot.“[]
