“The name.”
The leading officer asked coldly.
She raised her eyes silently, with a hint of sarcasm at the corner of her mouth.
The next second, the police officer’s communicator suddenly rang, and after a fuzzy electric sound, a deep male voice came through “Let her go.” Victoria wandered around the city for six hours, she took three taxis, went through numerous alleys, and even deliberately lingered in blind spots e surveillance cameras to make sure no one was following ber. The moment the door was pushed open, the air froze.
Everyone was there, Howard sat at the head, with a half–burnt cigarette between his fingertips, Wade and several core members stood on both sides, while Beatrice huddled next to Howard, her eyes red and swollen, as if she had just been crying
Every gaze was like a knife, stabbing fiercely at her.
Beatrice suddenly burst into tears and timidly spoke,
“I, I didn’t want to say it originally…”
But… But Victoria really had a problem…”
“A few years ago when I went to the police station to look for my biological parents, I saw a photo of Victoria!”
She trembled and pointed at Victoria.
“It was hanging on the wall in the police station off
office!”
Victoria’s blood Croze instantly, she asloed word by word
“What are you talking about?”
“How did you come back, Victoria? Did the police bring you back?”
Victoria opened her mouth, but found that she couldn’t make a sound.
Howard approached her step by step, the sound of his leather shoes on the floor like funeral bells, he chuckled lightly, but his eyes were filled with ice.
“No wonder the police let you go.”
Π
“My bed companion turned out to be a police dog all along”
Victoria stared at him intently.
“Howard, you know what kind of person I an”
He suddenly grabbed her neck, with such force that she hit the wall.
“I was certainly

Victoria was dazedly thinking in suffocation, “So this was his chob
I don’t trust a fool with an unknown origin, nor do I trust her who has followed him for ten years.
The iron door of the basement was slammed shut behind her, Victoria was roughly pushed down onto a chair, her wrists were rubbed raw by the iron sharkdes, she had been tortured for three days.
“Spevik.”

Victoria hugged at the corner of her mouth, a taste of blood in her throat, “I don’t know,”

Why did the police let you go?
The intense pain made her eyes go black, but she just gritted her teeth and said nothing.
In the corner, Howard stood against the wall, the cigarette between his fingertips flickering on and off.
He remained silent throughout, only watching her being pushed towards the corner of the table with indifference, watching her vomit blood but still refusing to let go, she looked up at him in a sea of blood, her voice hoarse and unrecognizable.
“Howard.”
“Ten years… Is this how you look at me?”
Howard finally moved. He walked slowly, his leather shoes stepping on her dripping blood, making a sticky sound.
Then, he raised his hand and threw a folder at her face.
“See for yourself.”
Victoria trembled as she flipped open the file with her bloodied fingers.
“Victoria, badge number 050601, Special Action Team”
She stared at the photos and suddenly laughed out loud.
“How… is this possible…!
“I was only fifteen when I followed you to commit murder and arson, and now you’re telling me I’m a cop?”
Howard squatted down and pinched her chin.
“Is the photo fake?”
*Howard, are you out of your mind? Just because Beatrice randomly pointed at a photo, you believe her? What if I say s
“That’s enough.”
Howard interrupted coldly, standing up and looking down at her from a higher position
“Finally, I ask you one last time, who is the informant?”
Victoria looked up at him and suddenly felt incredibly absurd.
Ten years.
she’s the mole ”
She had taken a bullet for him, cleared traitors for him, and even carried him out of danger when he was seriously injured. And now, he has sent her to prison himself for a few poorly edited fake photos.
“I don’t know,” she said hoarsely.
Howard turned and walked away.
“If I really wanted to betray you, do you think you would still be alive today?”
His footsteps paused for a momen
but he did not look back
The cold sea water splashed on her face, and Victoria opened her eyes in the salty breeze.
Her hands were tied behind her back with rough hemp ropes, her ankles wrapped in iron chains, and site was sitting on a damp raft. She squinted and saw
standing not far away, playing with a dagger in his hand.
He grinned, but his eyes were icy.
“Wake up? 1 thought you could sleep a little longer and suffer less.
The waver lapped against the rocks, splashing water onto her pants. Victoria tried to move her wrist, and the rope immediately sank into her flesh, causing a sharp pain.
wanted to see Howard.”
She said hoarsely, her voice calm as if not a dying person,
The executor Wade spatted down, grinning
“Victoria, you were too embarrassed to see Mr. Irwin now.”
He grabbed her hair and forced her to look at the several bodies floating on the sea in the distance.
“Do you know how many brothers we lost because of this mission?”
“Twelve.”
Wade gritted his teeth.
“They were all old men who had followed Mr. Irwin for seven or eight years, and they were all arrested at the dock just because the police had received tip–off in advance!”
Victoria watched quietly and suddenly smiled, “So what? If you kill me now, will they come back to life?”
“What else?“”
“The photo was there, and the police just had to frame you. Do you really think Mr. Irwin is a fool?”
Victoria turned her bead slightly, licked her cracked lips, looked into the distance, and Howard was not there.
He was unwilling to even see the last side
“Okay, stop talking nonsense.”
Another man walked over and impatiently kicked the iron chain at her feet,
Hurry up, the tide is coming in ”
Wade stood up and gave her one last look.
“In the next life, remember to be a loyal dog
The next second, she was pushed down.
The icy seawater instantly submerged her head, and the iron chains pulled her rapidly downward.
The seawater flooded into his lungs, and his consciousness began to blur.
Victoria wanted to laugh sarcastically. The most enjoyable betrayal of her life turned out to be the accusation forced upon her by others.
The sea gradually calmed down, as if no one had ever existed.=
