Chapter 18
Five or six men rushed at her from all directions, some holding down her hands and feet, others pulling her hair.
Victoria instantly counterattacked, elbowing fiercely towards the nearest person’s nose, flipping over and kicking another person’s knee in a scream.
“Damn! This woman can really fight!”
The men obviously came prepared, focusing on her injured right shoulder and back
A punch landed on her still unhealed wound, the intense pain causing Victoria to black out for a moment, her movements slowed by half a heat. In this moment of vulnerability, she was once again pushed to the ground,
“Let go!”
She struggled and screamed, her nails scratching blood marks on the other’s face.
“Bang!”
A slap hit her face hard, blood trickling from the corner of Victoria’s mouth, as the men took the opportunity to tie her hands and feet with hemp ropes and dragged her towards the dark little hut.
“Didn’t Elliot like to help people?”
The leading man sneered and grabbed her chin.
“Today let him see what kind of person be saved!”
The wooden door was kicked open, and a musty smell and dust hit Victoria in the face. She was thrown onto the dirty floor, and the men surrounded her, with someone already starting to undo their belt.
“Such a pretty girl, Elliot has played with her, and for sure others have too, it’s our turn now…
The rough palm tore open her collar, Victoria bit her lip tightly, not letting out a sound, her eyes searching in the darkness, suddenly catching sight of a broken hoe in the corner.
Just as the man pressed down, she rolled over with all her strength, grabbed the wooden handle in reverse, and fiercely stabbed towards the opponent’s eyes!
“Ah – !
In a scream, Victoria loosened the loose rope and staggered towards the door.
The men cursed as they chased after her. She had just run into the embrace of a familiar figure as she stepped into the sunlight.
Elliot’s eyes were bloodshot, and he was holding a harpoon dripping with blood.
His ann tightly wrapped around her waist, with such force that it almost crushed her into his bones and blood. His heartbeat was frighteningly fast, and the intense vibration came through the thin fabric.
“Don’t look”
His hoarse voice rang in her ears, at the same ti
time blocking her sight with his body, but Victoria still saw it,
Two men were lying on the ground in agony, one with hall a harpoon stuck in his eye socket, blood splattered on the grass, and the other walling while holding his severed wrist. The remaining few were surrounded by villagers.
Elliot! Did you
ou really lay hands on your own brother for a stranger?
The leader of the strong men roared angrily, covering his bleeding eyes.
Elliot’s harpoon was aimed at the man’s throat.
Now is your brother?
Melina trembled as she walked over, took off her coat and draped it over
r Victoria
“Vicky, it’s okay.”
Her voice was trembling, but her rough palm was warm and strong
Elliot glanced back at Virtuels, and in that look, there surged too many emotions–self–blane, anger, and fear.
“Take her back.”
He said to his grandmother, and then turned and walked towards the group of people.
Tonight, it’s time to settle the accounts.”
Victoria wanted to follow, but she was held back by her grandmother.
“Let him deal with it, it’s his debt.”
On the way back to the village, she heard a piercing scream behind her, but she never turned back. The night wind, carrying the smell of the sea, brushed her cheeks and dried the dampness at the corners of her eyes.
Originally, she was not the only one who was saved.
Originally, Elliot’s hands, which were covered in calluses, not only killed fish but also killed people.
The all lamp in the courtyard was still lit, and Grandma was cooking soup, chatting incessantly about Elliot’s childhood. Victoria sat on the doorstep. wrapped in a blanket, gazing towards the mountains
Until the sky turned fish–belly white, the tall figure appeared in the morning mist, his harpoon missing, his body covered in dew and bloodstains, his
eyes tired yet calm
He knelt down in front of Victoria, gently wiping away the dried blood on her face
Does it hurt?
Victors shook her head and suddenly grabbed his hand, there was a fresh bite mark on the back of her hand, deep enough to see the bone.
“Have you paid off your debt?”
